  I am a 66-year-old single male, and avid gardener and mushroom farmer.
  I live in Golden British Columbia in the Canadian Rockies near Kicking Horse resort and near the confluence of the Kicking Horse River and Columbia River.
  Due to other commitments, I can no longer invest the time I need to in my garden, weeding, bed renewal, and planting, etc.
  I’m an avid fisherman, that finds myself torn between my garden and my desire to catch and eat fish, forage mushrooms etc, and generally get out to enjoy this wonderful area.
  My work life at my Mushroom farm consumes 4 to 12 hours per day.
  I also spend two days per week at farmers markets vending my mushrooms for the summer months.
  I like to eat my own food, I cook every day.
  I try to eat what I grow, or source local, organic food for the balance of my diet.

  I would share knowledge of seed saving, gardening, composting ,garden bed creation, mushroom cultivation, food preservation ,though I cannot spend all of the time together with work awayers. My schedule is dependent on what stage my mushroom crop is at on any given day.

  When I was a baby, I was babysat by a Spanish lady in New Mexico and learned a small amount before I was 3. I do not remember it now. I only know a small amount of words of French, Spanish and German.

  I have a bedroom in my home
  Also room to tent if preferred.
  I cook and eat early morning and evening and snack midday and you’re welcome to join me or you can cook in my kitchen if you don’t care for the food I cook.

  My place is 2 km from the town of Golden. Available in Golden are various recreational opportunities.
  5 minutes from my door are hiking and biking trails on Mountain Seven.
  Fishing, mushroom foraging, etc. are accessible by car with a short drive.
  
  House rules:
  I go to bed early and get up early. Quiet after 8 pm
  No smoking in my home. I smoke outside.
  Clean up after yourself.
  I have a cat that lives in the house with me if you have allergies.
  If you have food allergies, please tell me.
