Descripción
We have a small lifestyle property surrounded by larger farms in the beautiful Central Otago.
Our property is rural but only 5 minutes drive from our local cafe and the river.
There are many beautiful sights to see nearby such as St Bathans, Naseby, Clyde.
We expect that after the required workaway hours are completed that you will go and explore these beautiful sights! We also want you to feel welcome to relax and rest but please understand that the children are always around and if you're home they will want you to bounce on the trampoline with them!
Our family includes two adults and two children (5 & 8) plus a cat. We also have a small flock of sheep, chickens, calves, geese and ducks. We are a christian family and this is something that is important to us, we will also accept you for whoever you are!
Over the 2025 spring/summer our projects include, building a greenhouse that is half underground, finishing renovations on our guest house, building 2 decks, getting the vegetable garden started and expanding our gardens.
Over the last few years we have been building up our saffron farm and this work usually happens at the end of summer/during autumn. It is a small operation but growing and we love our little harvest!
Dan is a high school teacher and I am a midwife.
The dream for our land is to be mostly self sustainable and as natural as possible.
We used to live in Queenstown and miss being around people from other cultures, we love hosting and making new friends. Our children really enjoy the interactions they have with our wonderful workaway friends and we are very grateful for all the experiences that we have had!

We are looking for help with general gardening, and maintenance around the house and in the garden.
This could involve, lawn mowing, weeding, planting, landscaping, painting, sanding, building, etc.

Our spare bedroom is in our home, it has a queen bed and the bathroom is shared with us.
We live on only one income so we do not have a lot but what we do have is local and usually organic. We are happy to share as long as it is reasonable.
