Alisa and I (Jasmina) decided to do our first workaway together. Alisa stayed two weeks, while I (Jasmina) stayed four weeks with Jan, Depline, the kids and the dogs. :) We were very lucky to be received by such a welcoming and open family for our first ever workaway. We enjoyed every minute at their finca and we'are grateful for the time we had

From plastering to cutting trees, we were able to improve our renovating and gardening skills but never felt pressuered to do anything we did not felt save with. We have had SUCH a wonderful time with Jan, Delphine and the kids!
We are a family in a camper and they were so very kind to make sure we had everything we needed - love and hugs for that! They cleared out a space for us right by the banana plantage, with a little improvised kitchen, water and electricity. Our kids were free to roam around and

We were inspired by their projects and their take on life, and they were happy to listen to our tells from our little trips and what we experience while we explored Gran Canaria - and laugh about some rather adventurous mishaps together.
We can only recommend them as hosts. And if you have some good skills when it comes to building and restoration work, you can be part of a great project, helping them finish rebuilding this former Monestary (!!!) into one of the loveliest homes 😊Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

We are so happy that we could host Marina in our house!!! She an amazing work awayer AND an amazing person! Always positive and with a smile :-) She stayed with her boyfriend Zack for 5 weeks with our family and it felt right from the start that they were part of the family. Always willing to help on any job and definitely not afraid of hard work.

We enjoyed the chill, but very responsible vibe a lot on the job. But also off the job we enjoyed our time together having nice conversations on life under the stars. Marina was also our dog Nacho's best friend. It was great having you here, grateful for every minute you spend with us. Hope you visit us again one day! Always welcome here, big hugs (certainly from Nacho) X

We stayed for about 5 weeks and highly recommend this workaway!
Jan and Delphine are amazing, they and the kids made us really feel like part of the family from the beginning on. We had our own room and a shared bathroom inside the house at this beautiful banana-finca. We worked 4-5h/day but could freely decide at what time to start and when to

We did different things in and around the house based on our skills and preferences. Initially it was a lot of gardening, including weeding a huge amount of plants and cutting trees down and then using the “biotrituradora” to make nice soil for the citrus trees and herbs we planted afterwards. Also we sanded down and painted a big wall of the house, build a pergola and put two new doors in, cut down palm trees, picked avocados and mangos and now and then cooked for everyone.
The area is beautiful, it’s about a 15 minutes walk down to the beach and there is a bus stop right in front of the house going to las Palmas or arucas 1x/h in the week and less on the weekend.
Thank you so much Jan & Delphine for everything, for sure we will be back - and not only for nacho! Big hug to everyone <3Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

We enjoyed Zack's company a lot! He stayed together with his girlfriend Marina with our family for more or less 5 weeks and we all had an amazing time. As you know always welcome here!!!! Big hugs xxx

I’m so happy to have stayed with Jan and Delphine, the kids, and nacho! We were welcomed into the family completely and felt very at home since day one. Everything was easy going, we enjoyed your company very much and, although the work was tough at times, it was also really rewarding and without pressure!
It’s one of the most beautiful homes
… read more I’ve been in, super spacious, relaxing courtyard, a pool and a vibrant finca to walk around and collect bananas, avocados and mangos. And Nacho always kept you company wherever you ventured! It’s also only a 30 min bus to the LP city centre on 206 right on the door step.
There’s always something to do there but you’ll be very well looked after. Thanks for allowing us to be part of your home and vision, and I’m really exited to see all what’s yet to come. Honestly you’re top hosts and exactly what workaway is all about. Thanks so much! Until next time :)Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.
