This is a family care self help group. It is fully run and operated by its members. It is an organization of Self Help Group registered with Ministry of Gender Sports and Social Services Department of Social Services in Homa-Bay County-Kenya.

It was started in 2004 with a mission to create and promote sustainable integrated community based model of development-bottom up paradesign involving provision of vocational skills opportunities for girls and women in particular-with focus on girls and women in the community.

The principal areas of concern of our group are:

Socio-economic impacts of HIV/AIDS pandemic. Loss of human labour, talents, brain drainage of intellectual and professionals, high cost of medical bills and funeral expenses.

Increased overdependancy ratio as adults in prime ages demise, leaving behind orphans, widows, the elderly, e.t.c. Socio-economic and metrological impacts of climate change-extreme hunger and poverty due to prolonged draughts, floods, fish decline, storms, etc. even right now many families go without food in the shores of lake Victoria. Region.

Unemployment of youths including girls and women due to lack of vocational skills and Technologies to promote sustainable development.

The principal targeted groups are girls (out of school) and women, who most of them are orphans and widows. These are the poorest segments of the community despite their numerical strengths.

The goals and objectives are to promote pre-school and vocational skills transfers i.e. by way of permaculture, sustainable Agriculture applying simple irrigation systems, renewable sources of energy i.e. wind, solar, e.t.c. promote gender equality, equity and empower girls and women.

Combat HIV/AIDS pandemic and other disease.

    Promote global partnership North/South cooperation.
