We are Dani and Guillaume from England and France. 4 years ago we began the project to build a hostel on a piece of land a few hundred metres from the coastal road into the jungle of Northern Colombia. It is 2 hectares and has fruit and wood trees everywhere which makes it a really unique place. There are hundreds of species of birds that live here as well.
We opened a hostel in November 2022 and keep it functioning during high season (from December to March) every year and then turn it into a long term rental place with various accommodations on offer. It has a big shared space with a shared kitchen and is 100% powered by solar energy. You'll also meet 2 beautiful dogs and 2 beautiful cats.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

There are so many different things to learn and try for the first time here- we like initiative and we also allow people to learn and explore skills and things they are interested in. Volunteers can set their own challenges and see if they can accomplish them.
As for the surrounding area, Buritaca and Don Diego towns are just 5min drive. Both have plenty of Colombian culture and the land is in the perfect location to access various points of interest on the coast. Tayrona National Park, Palomino, Cabo de le Vela, Punta Gallinas are just a few places nearby to visit. There is an array of fantastic beach and jungle hostels in the area providing fun activities and great quality food. This is the perfect place to get away from the crowds and explore the Colombian coast and all it has to offer.Ayuda
We are looking for friendly and responsible travellers to help with the day to day running of the small hostel. The main duties include:
Reception Work: You will have the chance to learn about hotel software and how to handle check ins and out on a daily basis. You will be able to welcome guests on arrival, give them a tour, check them in and check guests out.
Hostel Prep Work: You will be involved with helping us prepare all the things we need to operate. For example you will have the chance to learn about how we prepare our liqueurs and the harvests necessary for this.
Activities and Tours Organization: You will have an opportunity to help with tours, take guests out to beautiful locations on the coast, and organise and lead evening activities and games. It is the perfect chance to socialise with all the guests and enjoy time with the family.
⏳ Work Schedule – 5 hours per day, 5 days a week, with 2 days off to relax and explore the area.
In exchange, we offer free accomodation in a welcoming environment, 3 meals per day and an opportunity to experience daily life in a beautiful natural setting. We will train and teach with love and promise to share our knowledge of the business to anyone who is interested and who dedicates passion to the hostel family. If you love animals, enjoy working outdoors, and appreciate a peaceful lifestyle, we’d love to hear from you!Idiomas hablados
