I own a 52ft sailboat located in Hawaii that I am in the process of refitting for offshore sailing.
The vessel may be sailing thru the Hawaain islands during this refit period. We are presently located in Waikiki on the island of Oahu.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

I've been sailing all my life and have over eighty thousand blue-water miles under my keel (and as many coastal) and enjoy sharing my knowledge and teaching people how to sail.
I am happy to pass on my years of sailing experience to others.
My hobbies include close up / slight of hand magic, photography, drones (both air quadcopters and undersea drones).
If you are a calm person with a positive attitude that has a curiosity for the natural world and enjoys experiencing (and respecting) other cultures this might be for you.
There is much to explore in Hawaii as it is a year-round paradise for hiking and water sports.Ayuda
The re-rigging of the vessel (new wires that hold up the mast) is complete. Other help aboard involves sanding and painting and scrubbing the hull. The boat recently completed a 16,000 mile non-stop ocean voyage and can use a good cleaning and a new coat of paint inside and out.

Alojamiento
You will have a stateroom or berth (bunk) with a curtain for sleeping quarters. The vessel has an electric Head (toilet) and portable shower.
A spacious galley (kitchen) with a propane stove.
Electricity is provided by solar panels when at sea; There is charging ports available for small items like phones and tablets and small current drawing items but there is not usually power available for larger items such as laptops etc. If the sun is shining brightly all day we can charge a laptop using the ships inverter but as some days are overcast I wanted to let you know that's not always possible.Algo más...
The bus service on the island is very good.
There is much to explore here. The people are very friendly and laid back. It's a hiker and water-sport paradise.Un poco más de información

It was a pleasure hosting you.
You're strong work ethic helped to move the project forward. All the sanding you did on the hull was hard work and you got right after and got it done.

Anyone who hosts you is privileged to have you.

He was exceptionally communicative even when I wasn't as communicative as I should've been. He's very honest about what being aboard the Ishi is like ("it's like camping") and he makes sure that everything goes smoothly. He doesn't expect you to know anything before you arrive, about rowing, knots,… read more
A true humanitarian who gave his shoes to a homeless person so they could get on the bus on his first day on the island. Two of the best workawayers I've had by far. Polite, clean, always willing to jump in and lend a hand without being asked.
