  Hello fellow travellers!
  (Summer - autumn 2026)
  
  
  Do you want to meet a place of natural beauty and the Greek culture?
  
  This summer my goal is to start fixing my grandfather's house a bit, located in a village at North Greece.
  It is an old house, that was empty for some time but fully equipted.
  Sooo... I need help
  
  A bit for me:
  
  I am Theo, a Greek lady born and raised in Athens. Very interested from an early age in travelling and other cultures. I am an early years teacher and nanny . Also a hands on person for practical stuff like cleaning, organising etc.
  I enjoy cooking, films and welcoming people from abroad. Have lived in Europe for a couple of years and now trying to get back to the roots.
  
  What I do need :
  
  I need first of all, good , positive people who do not mind to get dirty.
  
  If you are also experienced with carpentry, painting and fixing stuff , of course that would be perfect but we are not lookimg for professionals.
  
  The tasks we will start with are:
  
  - sanding and painting wooden surfaces
  - Paining the balcony railings
  - planting new trees
  - Fixing the old fence
  - Removing old broken stuff from the house
  - Weeding etc
  
  My approach to this team work is that tasks would be applied to personal abilities and preferences. So everyone is welcome to bring in his knowledge!
  
  About the place:
  
  It's a village of about 300 inhabitants, in the borders with Bulgaria very close to Kerkini lake, which is a national park and protected place for birds and other species. So if you are a nature lover, this is a nice area for birdwatching, walks, boating etc.
  The village has a couple of cafes but not a great social life. There is a mini market amd a tavern also.
  
  For someone who likes hiking, mountain Belles is just here, with rich nature and a chance for horse riding
  
  The means of transportation around in train and I can give you rides with the car of course.
  Otherwise, if you are interested we could find a bicycle.
  
  Culture connection:
  
  Looking forward to welcome people from all over the world. As a travelling lover my self I am always finding myself charmed by meeting other cultures and different ways of living .
  If you will be up to cook a traditional dish that would be alsooo perfect haha!
  
  Accomodation:
  
  There will be a free room for you in the house.
  Flexibility and respect in living with others is a must.
  
  UNFORTUNATELY there is no internet.
  
  I will cook for all, if you want to share this task you are more than welcome.
  
  Evenings are often outside, with shared dinners , conversations and sunsets over the land
  
  This is a calm, creative, grounded environment
  lf you're looking for connection, purpose, nature and good energy - you'll probably feel at home here.

  I can definitely spend time with my guests, sharing rides and walks around the amazing landscape of Lake Kerkini
  Also teaching Greek.
  
  Cook together some good food :)
  
  On your time off it will be great chance to explore the lake Kerkini, riding horses, hiking but it s also a great chance to just relax and enjoy the nature and the silence.
