Descripción
The project started in 2012. Certified in organic farming since 2015. We are eight inhabitants on the site, four cats and one dog. We are located on the green hills of Tourtouse, between Saint Girons and Cazères, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees.
There is the main house, a big shed with a wood workshop, an old stone barn in renovation, 10 hectares of woods and meadows, a vegetable garden, and an orchard of 200 apple trees of special old varieties.
To sleep we have a cosy dormitory all in wood in the attic of the house, and one double bedroom (two others rooms are occupatied).
In 2015, we created the association , to promote and preserve old varieties of fruits, the use of wild plants, as well as sharing agricultural knowledge, ecology, the pooling of tools. We also organize cultural and artistic activities. Our visitors and helpers are required to join the members association, and for the workawayers, the fee is of their choice.
ACTIVITIES FOR 2025
In July and August we will have many activities : fruit picking, gardening, helping other projects, gardening, earth coating, wood work, making gardening lasagna, renovating, building a shed... and of course many other things.
From September to November we will also be picking 30 old varieties of apples, learning about them and testing many recipies . This is when the apple juice is made, with a blend of all these rare apples.

Le projet a démarré en 2012. Certifié en agriculture biologique depuis 2015. Nous sommes sept habitants sur le lieu, quatre chats et un chien. Nous sommes situé.es sur les collines verdoyantes de Tourtouse, entre Saint Girons et Cazères, au coeur du Parc Naturel Régional des Pyrénées Ariégeoises. Il y a une maison principale commune, un hangar agricole dont une partie transformé en atelier bois, une grange traditionnelle en pierre à rénover, 10 hectares de bois et de prairies, un potager, et verger de 200 pommiers de variétés anciennes. Pour dormir il y a un dortoir de 60m2 dans le grenier rénové en bois, et une chambre individuelle avec un lit deux places, qui est à disposition.
En 2015 nous avons créé une association, afin de préserver les variétés anciennes, promouvoir les activités écologiques, l'utilisation de plantes sauvages, le partage des savoirs et la mutualisation des outils. Les visiteurs et participants à nos séjours sont invités à adhérer à l'association, et la cotisation pour les workawayers est à prix libre.
ACTIVITÉS EN 2025
En juillet et aout nous ferons des butes de culture en lasagne, des enduits naturels, du jardinage, de la rénovation, du ramassage de fruits, des coup de main dans d'autres projets... et bien plus.
De septembre à novembre il y aura aussi le ramassage des pommes rustiques, dans la bonne humeur et la convivialité, avec reconnaissance et dégustation de 30 variétés anciennes. Le jus que nous produisons est élaboré à partir d'un savant mélange de pommes, ce qui le rend si unique et savoureux.

Ayuda
We are doing gardening, woodworking, earth coating and many more things during the summer. We welcome 2 to 5 workawayers to help us and have a great experience.
September to November will be our apple picking session. We will learn about old varieties of apple and make our famous juice.
En juillet et aout, nous accueillons 2 à 5 personnes pour un coup de main dans le potager, la rénovation, la jointure de pierre, l'entretien du verger.
Septembre à novembre sera la saison de ramassage des pommes. Nous étudierons les variétés anciennes et ferons notre fameux jus de pomme.

1 bedroom and large dormitory all in wood. We provide all meals with fresh, vegetarian and organic products. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with the possibility of having snacks and drinks at any time.

The nearest train station is 20mn away in Cazères. We can come to get you and we ask a contribution of 6 euros.
