Hey there! We're a backpacker hostel located right in center of Puerto Vallarta and one block from the beach. We love to entertain our guests! We like going on adventures during the day, and going for a night out on the town. We work hard and we play hard. We strive to make our place as clean and comfortable as possible, and love getting into projects and artwork. We host backpackers from all over the world, and we treasure the social time we spend with them. We are an LGBTQ friendly hostel.

Although Vallarta is a big tourist destination, it's still very much Mexico. The people are friendly, the food is fantastic, and the culture is rich.
It's also a great jumping off point for a lot of wonderful things to see and experience in this part of Mexico. It's an excellent place to immerse yourself & learn about the traditional Mexican lifestyle and culture. You will have plenty of time to explore, make memories, eat tacos, go to the beach, learn Spanish, see free, live entertainment, make friends, and much more. What are you waiting for?

We are searching for open minded travelers who love meeting new people and can warmly welcome new guests.
Helping at reception means you will explain the rules, show them to their rooms, and help them get settled in. Speaking English is a must, and intermediate Spanish is necessary, you will definitely improve your Spanish while volunteering here
We will need help with cleaning. Generally, that will include help in bathrooms, common areas, laundry, and making beds for new arrivals. Occasionally, we may need help with ongoing art projects.
As a hostel, socializing with guests will be a requirement. We will ask that you take people on hikes, to the beautiful beaches in the Bay, for a fun on our rooftop bar or a night out on the town. Yep, you read that right! It is our goal to show our guests the way the locals do PV.
We spend some time to train new volunteers, please DO NOT apply If you have less than a month to stay here.

Our location cannot be beat! The hostel is located in between the church of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the main square (adjacent to the city hall). We are also a block away from the main area of the Malecón: the seahorse statue and the outdoor amphitheater (right next to Los Arcos). We are located in the heart of Vallarta's downtown, just a few minutes away from the main beach, few steps from the Zona Romantica and a great variety of bars, art galleries, night clubs, restaurants. etc.

My time at the hostel was awesome! As soon as you walk in, it's like stepping into your own place. Dave and Adela, the hosts, are super friendly and helpful, always making sure you're having a great time. Big thanks to them and the other volunteers for making the atmosphere so chill and lively. Rose did a fantastic job at the reception, as a housekeeper and as a tour guide. She learned from her mistakes very well and was always looking to be better than her last shift. I would definitely have her back in my team anytime.

Laurens and Paula were the perfect couple to have in our hostel! They were very independant and are both quick learners! They would never hesitate to me if there was a problem with a reservation or an issue in the hostel. They are amazing with communication skills and are very friendly. Maxime was a great addition to our team. He was really flexible and always happy to help. He did an oustanding job at the reception, as well as housekeeping and tour guide. Psalm has been one of our best volunteer here! from her first day until her last, she was always helpful, willing to learn spanish, create fun activities and more! She volunteered for 6 weeks and came back 2 months later to volunteer for another 8 weeks. I wish she could stay here year round!!!

Best hostel in PV for some reason!! The hostel itself is an amazing, colorful place. The manager and owner are always there to help you get better and are very supportive. The work is manageable and diverse, with the perfect amount of free time. And the best part is all the amazing guests and other volunteers you'll meet and have fun with!
