We are Giorgos Sioras Deligiannis and Kyveli Kouvatsi, two dance artists living in Greece.
We are running a community centre that hosts educational programs, artistic events and community activities in the mountain village of Neochori (Lefkada, Greece), which is Kyveli's birthplace.
This summer our center will host three different educational programs related with somatic practices, from July until mid September. So, we are looking for people who are willing to partly attend to our programs and help with cleaning, taking care of our space and preparing the meals for the period that educational programs will run, during 31/7/2022 to 11/9/2022. Along with the workshops, we will provide meals and shared room to stay!
About the village of Neochori:
Neochori is a mountain village (300m) of Lefkada, about 5km from Nidri. Serenity and impressive view as well as absence of shops are distinguishing features of the village. Instead, there is plenty of green, four springs and a number of paths which are taken care of by the village community every year.
This village was once abandoned by the locals, when they gradually began to approach the coastal areas. Years later, around the late 70's and early 80's, it was rediscovered by people looking for a quiet place close to nature. Somehow it started to attract hippies, artists, people from different parts of the world and finally a community was created.
Today only a few of the families that first settled there remain in the village, but new ones have come, creating a mixture of people and cultures. In recent years, cultural association has been activated and the old school of the village has been renovated, where various activities take place, such as exhibitions, presentations, film screenings, festivals, seminars, etc. Especially in the summer months the village hosts a lot of people from different parts of the world.
We hope that our center will bring life to our village and become a meeting point for artists, educators and practitioners from all over the world!

Since they will be free for the most time of the day they can attend on our programs and yoga classes if they wish in their free time, there also be plenty of time for resting, as well exploring the village. We can have walks on the beautiful paths of the village, and visit its springs. Kyveli's father lives more than 35 years in the village and he is familiar with local herbs, so we can arrange walks for herbal collection. You will also have the opportunity to meet a community of people, those who live in the village, as well as the other volunteers and participants that are coming from all over the world to work with soma related practices.
We can ensure a friendly and respectful environment of co-working, five days per week in a really beautiful village in Greece, and lots of creative energy vibes!
We will need help in the kitchen for preparing the meals and serving the food to the participants of the programs. The meals will be mainly vegetarian. There is no need for professional experiance yet if that is the case its great!
We will also need help with cleaning up the space.

We provide a shared room for two people and a shared big tent for two people including two single beds. The room is equipped with A/C, small kitchen, and table.
The rooms are located in the entrance of the village, in a beautiful centre called Foodpath. There is also a yard, an openair kitchen, as well as a vegetable garden!
The area offers a number of paths to explore surrounded by lusy nature.
A great sightseeing nearby you can go on foot is the famous waterfalls of Nidri. There you can have a cold bath, or just enjoy the sound of falling water.
Furthermore, in case someone comes on his/her own vehicle, and some afternoon wants to leave village and have an experience of the rest of the island and its worldwide known beaches, we will be more than happy to provide him/her with useful information for the island and its beautiful spots. If you also want to rent a car or a motorcycle we can easily help you out. There is no public transport from and to the village, usually someone from the village might be able to drop you off to Nidri, but if that is not possible we can definetelly call a taxi on request for you (taxi fare is about 10 euros to Nidri, the nearest seaside village).
