We're the first Bitcoin-friendly BnB/Hostel/CoLiving and Community Space in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, and Mexico.

(Bitcoin-friendly = we encourage, but definitely don't demand payment in Bitcoin).

We have space for ~15 guests & 6 volunteers, a mid-level terrace which we hope to develop into a small cafe, and the best rooftop terrace in all of SanCris, which we will soon open up to the public for sunsets & cocktails.

The space has *huge* potential - we're looking for people who can help us realise that potential :)

We are currently a team of 4 volunteers and a local (part time) helper (cleaning, sheets etc).

We have lots of connection to the local community, and plan to run cinema nights, language exchanges, game night. We are an international team, currently covering 4 continents!

We all live and work in the community, meet for breakfast daily, host family dinners weekly, and spend a lot of time socialising together.

We are right now setting up the space - we need help painting, decorating, renovating, and generally improving the place. We aim to launch 28th Jan / early Feb.

We also need help running the Hostel/BnB/CoLiving - we will launch in Feb with 15 guest beds and 6 volunteer beds, and we will grow to 18-20 beds over the coming months.

Our hostel will be busy & fun, but all guests will have large private spaces to chill out. We have the most beautiful roof terrace in SanCris, and we're hoping in time to open up the terrace to the public for small events like SunSets, as well as turn our mid-level terrace into a small cafe.

We have fast internet so we welcome nomads and remote workers. We're very LGBTQIA+ friendly too, with queer-identifying members already in our nascent community :)

We have space for 6 volunteers, and key roles include:

- Reception & Housekeeping
- Renovation and DIY
- Activities and community growth
- Content Creation & Social Media

We don't have a set schedule yet but once things firm up we are expecting the time commitment to be around 4 days on, 3 days off. In the meantime, it's all hands on deck :)

We prefer commitments no less than a month, but we can be flexible for the right people. We have short stay options for influencers/content creators, just give us a shout.

Hostel / BnB / CoLiving. Volunteers will sleep in a shared room, in a private, very comfortable pod/capsule. We provide breakfast for volunteers, the rest of the meals are on you. We often cook for each other and do family meals, but this is an informal thing :)

The local area is full of things to do - hiking, exploring the beautiful old-colonial town, numerous churches, lots of markets, local indigenous villages and much, much more. There is an incredible canyon nearby, lakes, forests... The town has loads of excellent bakeries, cafés, restaurants, and *more* than anything, SanCris is an incredibly lively town, especially if you're into live music. There are things to do every day and every night - everyone extends their stay in SanCris!

There's also the option to practice Spanish, English & French in our community, and the local area has many opportunities to learn about and experience Mexican culture. By volunterring, you'll learn about startups, tourism and hospitality, renovation, community growth/management and marketing. Come to SanCris and fall in love with local area and local culture, and use us as a base for exploring the beautiful mountains and valleys of Chiapas :)
