We are Marie and Pipapo settled for many years in Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands.
We built our house ourselves in a Polynesian style on our land. We are located in Taiohae in the main village of the island.
We like to interact with travelers from all walks of life.
PS: : ATTENTION: Before contacting us, please note that the Tahiti/Marquesas plane ticket is approximately 500 Euros return per person. And yes... We live in the archipelago furthest from any continent...
Nous sommes Marie et Pipapo installés depuis de nombreuses années à Nuku Hiva aux îles Marquises (Archipel situé à 3h15 de vol de Tahiti).
Nous y avons construit notre maison nous même dans un style polynésien sur notre terrain. Nous sommes situés à Taiohae dans le village principal de l'île.
Nous aimons échanger avec les voyageurs de tous horizons.
PS: : ATTENTION : Avant de nous contacter notez bien que le billet d'avion Tahiti/Marquises est d'environ 500 Euros A/R par personne. Et oui...Nous vivons dans l'archipel le plus éloigné de tout continent...

Established for a long time in the Marquesas Islands, we invite travelers to share our knowledge of the archipelago and its habits and customs.
Installés depuis longtemps aux îles Marquises, nous proposons aux voyageurs de partager avec eux nos connaissances de l'archipel, et de ses us et coutumes .

We mainly need help to maintain and renovate our house (carpentry work, painting, sanding, cement, etc.).
Sometimes we also need to maintain the garden and our motorboat.
We only welcome workawayers in pairs. If you are traveling alone, please do not write to us.
Nous avons surtout besoin d'aide pour entretenir et rénover notre maison (travail de menuiserie, peinture, ponçage, ciment, ect) .
Il s'agit aussi parfois d'entretenir le jardin et notre bateau à moteur.
Nous accueillons les workawayers uniquement par couple . Si vous voyagez seul (e) merci de ne pas nous écrire.

We offer a large comfortable double room (with fridge, kettle) with private bathroom in our garden.
We generally offer to share lunches together on the days you work with us.
We provide enough to prepare your breakfast.
Nous proposons une grande chambre double confortable (avec un petit frigo, une bouilloire, et un petit coin cuisine extérieur avec ustensiles et 2 feux) avec salle de bain privative dans notre jardin.
Nous proposons généralement de partager ensemble les repas du midi les jours où vous travaillez avec nous.
Nous fournissons de quoi préparer votre petit déjeuner.

The island of Nuku Hiva is vast; it is the 2nd largest island in French Polynesia after Tahiti, even if it has only 3000 inhabitants.
There are many hikes and excursions offered. During your free time you can discover lush valleys, archaeological sites, beaches, local crafts, the specificities of the marquesian culture, and others.
We can help you organize such outings.

L'île de Nuku Hiva est vaste; c'est la 2nde plus grande île de Polynésie après Tahiti, même si elle ne compte que 3000 habitants. C'est aussi la principale île de l'archipel des Marquises.
Il y a beaucoup de randonnées et excursions proposées sur l'île. Pendant votre temps libre vous pourrez découvrir des vallées luxuriantes, les sites archéologiques, les plages, la plongée, l' artisanat local et autres... Nous pouvons vous aider à organiser de telles sorties.
L'Île de Nuku Hiva est accessible en avion depuis Tahiti (3h15 de vol) pour environ 500 euros par personne aller/retour.
