Descripción
I am Denis, a carpenter with years experience. With my wife, Rita, who is specializing in art and interior design. We are living in Hagensborg, the great bear forest in British Columbia with beautiful scenes. Our house and studio space are already been set up and fully functional in this wilderness area. The nearest airport is Bella Coola airport. It's 20mins drive from airport to our places.
By sheer chance that we’ve experienced with young and energetic travellers from all over the world that spent time with our family and open themselves to learn and help around the house. We are ready to accept more people to join us this year.
Our studio is family run business, which usually keep us quite busy. But we are planning to slow down and enjoy our life meanwhile creating more artistic works.

We are in Bella Coola, Central Coast in British Columbia. Surrounded by mountains, rainforest, rivers and wild animals. It’s not hard to see grizzly and black bears. Great place for outdoor activities, Hiking, mountain biking, fishing, climbing, kayaking, etc. We are always open to teach if you are willing to learn some new skills. For now, our studio is making guitars and it's been fun.

Tasks could be really varied. We enjoy people making themselves as part of family and do what they like to do. Gardening, cleaning, helping around the carpentry studio, cooking. There is no set schedule for working, but we hope you are self disciplined and happy to accept tasks. (If there is any.)

Private room, or Trailer with private bathroom and running water. We are vegetarian family, but if you eat meats, you would need cook for yourself.

A lot of outdoor activities options. There is community bus around the area. In the summer time, there is Farmer market every Sunday, you could get local stuff and flea market for clothes.

They hosted me for two months and a half even though I was supposed to stay just for a couple of weeks. They had no problem extending my stay regarding the global situation, and I'm forever thankful for that.
