  Hi, my name is Lara and I am 50 years old. Originally I am from the Netherlands and live in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on Ilha do Pico in the Azores.
  
  Ilha do Pico is like a Garden of Eden in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Overwhelming nature, culture, safety and nice people. It has a pleasant climate all year round (winter minimum 15 degrees, summer maximum 30 degrees). You can take several expedition trips such as whale watching, climbing Mount Pico, the highest mountain in Portugal, at 2,351 metres (7,713 ft) and visit the Unsesco sight typical vineyards.

  You will have free accommodation. When you arrive around November 1st I will introduce you to local neighbors and the expat community. So you can get acquainted with local Azoreans and other nationalities living on the island. You get the chance to brush up or learn Portuguese and get to learn the local community here on the island.

  I will be needing a pet and house sitter from November 1st until April 1st for my cat Raisa. Someone who loves cats and is used to take care of one. As I am traveling from November 11th until approximately March 20th.

  Alojamiento

  You will have the whole house with a big garden to your disposal. I will have plenty of stock for the cat and some stocked groceries. You can harvest some fresh herbs, vegetables and fruits from the garden, such as, basil, rosemary, lettuce, wild spinach, oranges and lemon. As the island is very fertile and most locals grown their own food, often I get some produce offered from neighbours. For example beans, melons, bananas etc. As I am away for a couple of months, you will have to do some additional groceries yourself.

  You will have a lot of time to yourself and have the possibility to work remote- when you are a digital nomad.
  
  The island offers all kinds of activities:
  - Hiking
  - Diving
  - Swimming in natural pools
  - Whale watching tours
  - Climbing Mount Pico
  - Visit the typical vineyards, these are a Unesco World Heritage Site
  
  You will have a bike to your disposal and the bus stop is about 5 minutes walking. Whenever you need someones help, you can always ask the community.
