We are a female yoga/meditation centre of Ananda Marga- an international social and spiritual organization. Our place consists of five buildings, including a meditation hall, outdoor kitchen, a small bakery (can be used at any time if you're interested in baking) and a small library space. We are located at the bottom of a mountain in a really quiet and peaceful area outside Meinong.
Every Saturday we run a group meditation session and throughout the year there are different events taking place such as monthly 3 hour long Akhanda Kiirtana (mantra singing and dancing), Adventure Camp in April or a Meditation Camp in August (9th to 11th of August).
At the moment, the place is run by a Korean yoga and meditation teacher/ nun who volunteered in countries such as Kenya, Argentina and China. Therefore if you're interested in learning yoga or meditation, guidance and teaching can be provided.
Our place is run by women volunteers and accepts only female volunteers.
All food provided is vegetarian according to yoga standard, and tobacco and alcohol are not permitted.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

The volunteers will have a regular routine of yoga and meditation practice led by an instructor of Ananda Marga yoga & meditation during the most weekdays.
For those who are more interested in meditation practice, personal lesson of meditation by a trained teacher is provided.
Also they can relax in our beautiful and peaceful environment as well as hiking or exploring local tourist resort that are nearby in their day- offs.
Through our after school class project for local kids, they can experience real local culture and those interaction and contribution for local children can be of much rewarding.
(currently, the after school class is on pause to reorganise our premises. )
Volunteers also can also learn how to prepare vegetarian meals and how to detox in the most simple and natural way. They can learn the most healthy yoga life style.Ayuda
Work for volunteers depends very much on the season, and may include farming, gardening, fruit processing, helping at (kids) programs, wood cutting, etc. Usually it's related with general maintenance such as cleaning or just taking care of the place. There are times when the centre is really quiet (with only one person staying permanently) and there are times when more volunteers are staying.
In February and March it's the tomato season (Meinong's famous small tomatoes!), so picking tomatoes, preparing and drying them will likely be part of the tasks for that time.
At the beginning of April we run an Adventure Camp, so if you arrive at this time you can share any skills and talents you have. Also you are very welcome to create an animation for the camp.
We also need people who like to clean and organize places because we have plenty of places to organize nicer.
Any cooking talent we also need you.
IMPORTANT: We especially welcome volunteers who are hard working, punctual, considerate of others, can clean up after themselves and are ready to embrace a farmer's life style i. e. early to bed and early to rise. If this doesn't describe you, then maybe you should consider another host.Idiomas hablados

Depending on the number of visitors/guests volunteers may have own rooms or share.
The accomodation is very simple according to the philosophy of Ananda Marga. In most cases, you will sleep on a simple mattress placed on the floor, so please don't expect luxurious conditions. Also, since the place is in the countryside, be expected to encounter some wildlife such as mosquitoes, frogs, geckos and other insects.
We request you to bring your own sleeping bag, if pissible(though we do provide those who don't have one), and toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel, towel, toothbrush etc. but there is a supermarket in Meinong so if you need anything it is not a problem to buy it there. We also provide a washing machine and washing powder (no dryer though).
Please note that wifi is available only in the main building.
3 simple and healthy sentient vegetarian meals(vegan is possible too) included- mainly rice, grains, beans, local fruit and vegetables. As we follow the yoga diet we don't serve eggs, onion, garlic and mushrooms and we expect that you will respect our spiritual norms and values during your stay.
It is our requirement that the volunteers, while they are in our compound, refrain from smoking and using any alcohol or drugs.Algo más...
We are located in Meinong, a famous Hakka and cultural town in Kaohsiung county, south Taiwan. There's plenty to see & do in the area, and public transport is nearby.

I stayed at the center for the last 10 days of January 2020. During the year only one Didi (nun) is in charge of the place but because it was holiday time four of them were here and it was actually very cool! Five other volunteers were here also but I guess it is not always like this. The Didis were friendly and we had morning lessons… read more
