Good day dear workawayers!
I am Mister Lim and I am a headmaster of a little primary school. My wife and I are parents of two sons in the age of 14 and 18. My little boy is totally into singing and music and my elder son can’t be more different as a Buddhist devotee. Meditation, gardening and music are noticeable found in our daily routine.
Since the education system has been changed in Malaysia we are motivated to engage our students to be more independent and competent in the English Language in every subject. We are looking for volunteers who could give us a hand in my school to change the mentality of our students and teachers in a more emancipated way. We need someone who could teach English to our students and teachers. And in addition who is interested in having a musical exchange in form of music sessions with my son (singing, piano, guitar etc.). My son can show you some Chinese tradition music, my wife could show you Chinese, Malay and Thai cooking and my elder son could tell you a lot about northern Buddhism.
My school is surrounded by a beautiful padi field and everything is pretty calm and quiet in Alor Setar. I hope you are interested to be part of our family and willing to experience a very simple Chinese-Malay lifestyle.

Learning from our lifestyle will be beneficial in how to keep inner peace and how to live healthy. They could learn different types of food and cultural life in Malaysia. Volunteers are able to visit some natural attractive places in Alor Setar and the beautiful island Langkawi nearby.
