Hello Workaways!
We are looking for a single female to help care for our three grandchildren and occasionally baby Ayla (4 months) beginning 2nd week of May . Preference will be given to volunteers over 26 years of age but will consider younger volunteers if they meet certain criteria. We would like someone who wants to stay at least 6 weeks or more. It would be useful, but not essential, to have your own transport as we are 7km from Conil. We provide bicycles for volunteers who do not have transport.
Working hours are normally 09.00 - 12.30 (mornings) or 04:00-8:00 pm in the evenings. Children ages are 8,6,3, and 4 months. You will be either caring for the older kids or baby Alya but not all 4 at once. The older children are well mannered and enjoy their time outside in the garden or a swim in the pool. We are looking for responsible helpers who have experience in childcare and love taking care of cats.
Jackie and Richard are an English couple who have lived here, near Conil, for many years; Jackie founded and runs a registered charity which cares for abandoned cats and kittens in the area . At the moment we are also working hard to sterilise many cats in the area. Currently we have 35 cats living freely on the property and kittens or young cats waiting to be adopted. The cats and kittens waiting for adoption live in enclosed cat houses.
The property is on half-hectare of land so we also grow quite a lot of vegetables and have several orange trees. Accommodation is in a cosy room in our home and a semi private bathroom that you will share with another volunteer. We provide use of bicycles, relaxing gardens and a lovely swimming pool. The beach is about ten minutes by car and twenty minutes by bike. Food is provided and there is WiFi. Towels and bedding are provided.

Buses run to Conil de la Frontera where we can meet you. Nearest airports are Jerez, Sevilla, Gibraltar and Malaga. To get a lift with someone to Conil check out the App blablacar
A local bus can take you into Conil, or you can use one of the bikes we provide to get into the village or to one of the beaches nearby.
From Conil there are regular (not necessarily frequent) buses to Cadiz, Sevilla, Tarifa, Jerez - some of the cities worth a visit on a day off.
Activities in the area include surfing, kite-surfing, MTB, walking, climbing. There is a large swimming pool in Conil and a football pitch in El Colorado.
