Description
Hello, we are a German couple and have been living in Maremma-Tuscany near Grosseto (by the sea) and 50 km from Siena since 1988.
We have a house with a big garden where we grow saffron, olives, roses and many other things.
We need help in all seasons of the year. Your work could be in the main in the garden, but there is also something to help in the house, like cooking, painting ... and other small things when the weather or season is not so good for outdoor work.
Accommodation and meals, pick-up and return transport to bus and train will be provided by us.
We are waiting for you, contact us. We speak Italian, English and German.

We are near to Campagnatico (3 km), Paganico (5 km) , Grosseto (20 km) , Seaside (30 km) , Siena (50 km)
The town centre of Grosseto is confined between the city walls, and can easily be explored in a few hours.
Medicean Walls. The city walls were begun by Francesco I de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany in 1574, and took 19 years to finish. They are largely preserved, and most of the walls can be walked.
St. Lawrence Cathedral (Duomo di Grosseto / Cattedrale di San Lorenzo), Piazza Dante Alighieri. This Romanesque cathedral, built in the 13th-15th century, is now largely the result of 19th century restoration works.
Palazzo Aldobrandeschi, Piazza Dante Alighieri. This pleasant neogothic reconstruction of a medieval palace dominates the adjacent square, where the locals gather in the evenings for a stroll and chat. It houses the seat of the province of Grosseto.

This was our first workaway experience, and the time spent on Bodo's farm was great. The work was varied and manageable, and Bodo is very hospitable and accommodating as a host. Where we stayed was very comfortable and our host was extremely patient and generous

It was an unforgotable experience! Bodo is a really good host, super funny, flexible and helpful, and his farm is so peacefull with a wounderful landscape (and beautiful sunsets!). The work was great! I hope I could return and continue learning about saffron and olives, and also meet Andrea!! Thank you so much Bodo, I still missing your place!

Ciao Ragazzi :-) It was a very lovely lucky time with you. Much work but i hope without stress. The work was hard to take out the the sffron bulbs or cutting the high grass and I hope you can be back once a time to harvest olives or saffron flowers. Good luck for everything

What a great experience for us in our small farm. It was coming this Brazilian guy, spending a lot of money to come to Italy. He was so interested what we do here, asking and learning about Olives and Saffron. And last but not least a great help for us!

I stayed at Bodo's Olive and Saffron farm for one week. Bodo was only there for 1 night, as he had to travel to Germany to sell the beautiful olive oil that he produces from the olives on the farm. Bodo was an excellent host, I spent a week and a half here on short notice and Bodo was very accommodating. The work was very reasonable and I had time to explore around the countryside in my spare time. I would recommend anyone to stay and work here. I had an amazing 4 weeks at the farm. Full of fun, interesting conversation, great meals together and hard work of course. I had a plenty of time to discover the area. Bodo was very helpful and always ready to drop me off/pick me up from the train or bus stations.

We had a great time staying with Bodo on his lovely farm.
The 2 weeks we spend were fun and the work was not too hard. In our free time Bodo was always there to give tips and drive us to the beach or the train station. --> A great place to be!
