Please read carefully before applying
We are currently looking for volunteers **from the second half of July until the end of August**.
Ideally, we would love to find someone available approximately from **July 20th until the last week of August**.
We are especially looking for **mature volunteers with previous experience**, preferably not in their first Workaway experience.
We do not accept volunteers for stays of only one or two weeks.
We are looking for people who are truly interested in a meaningful cultural and work exchange, not a short holiday experience.
This is real family life. It requires responsibility, flexibility, initiative and genuine involvement.
For this reason, we kindly ask for a **minimum stay of 3 weeks**, so there is enough time to build trust and integrate into our family rhythm.
## About Us
We are an Italian family with three children aged 12, 10 and 5. We live in Acireale, near Catania (Sicily), in an independent house with a large garden.
We love nature, simple living, traveling and cultural exchange.
Family life here is active and dynamic — there is always something to do 😊

## Help & Schedule
We ask for:
* 5–6 hours per day
* 2 days off per week
The help we need is a combination of:
* Childcare / babysitting
* Housekeeping
* Gardening
* Daily family support
The volunteer should feel comfortable helping both with the children **and** with practical daily tasks around the house.
This means helping with things such as:
* Tidying and cleaning shared spaces
* Washing dishes
* Helping keep the house organized
* Watering plants / light gardening
* Small outdoor maintenance tasks
* Cooking occasionally
* Playing and doing activities with the children
Nothing extremely heavy or complicated, but we are truly looking for someone willing to give a **real and concrete help** in daily family life.
As working parents with three children, we genuinely need support and collaboration at home.
For this reason, this experience may not be the best fit for someone looking mainly for a vacation or a very “light” experience.
We really appreciate proactive people who naturally see what needs to be done and enjoy being part of family life.

You can learn italian language, know italian tradition and culture. You can discover our beautiful island, since Chiara (mother) is a mountain leader you can come with her during her tours.
You wil stay in a private room and you'll have a private bathroom. Food are included. You will enjoy to cook with us!
