Hey workaway community,
my name is Merle and I am 22 years old. I grew up in a small village surrounded by fields and large meadows. As I lived close to the Baltic Sea, I consider being in nature and by the sea as one of my happy place. I love the sea, especially snorkeling, swimming and also surfing.
I also love spending time with my family and with my dog. I grew up in a pretty cool und fun family of five, which why I am definitely a people person. Together we like to travel and have already experienced the most beautiful vacations. We have been to Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Italy and many other countries in Europe. I think it's great to get to know other cultures!
In my spare time I like to draw and paint. I am creative and craft work is a lot of fun for me.
I am also a sporty person. In my free time I do boxing. Being surrounded by a group of people everything is much more fun.
Now I'm looking forward to the upcoming months and hope that I can gain many great experiences that will shape me for my future life and meet like-minded people with whom I will have a great time!
(I also finished my carpentry apprenticeship in October.)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Since I grew up in a house with a large garden, my parents taught me that I always had to help in the garden and in the yard, digging up beds, trimming hedges, weeding or painting.
In the summer vacations of 2018, I helped as a team leader at a summer camp for children. Therefore, I also attended a group leader seminar. At the camp we played games with the children, did handicrafts and other activities.
As a vacation job I once helped in the office of a housing administration.
Since about 1.5 years I have been working at a bakery. I really like working with people.
Right now I am spending my free time with a 12 week internship at a carpenter. Manual work is a lot of fun for me, for example building a chair, or boxes. On construction sites I helped to change doors, build a roof truss, put in windows and much more!
