It was so nice to welcome Liv & Frederikke in the abbey and we are so happy to do it soon again ! The are very pleasant to live with, interested in interactions and very ready to give a help when we needed ! It was very precious and pleasant for us!
We spent two weeks at the abbey back in october during a longer trip to explore France and it was wonderful! We got to experience the beautiful services and the incredible nature. Even when working you’re constantly surrounded by the mountains and the lake, but also on the hikes we did when we had free-time. The work was great and with the other
… read more people at the abbey which were very welcoming. It quickly felt very natural to be part of the abbey. We also really liked our rooms that each had their own icon. We’re truly grateful for being allowed to step into such a different and great place right next to the beautiful lake.

My experience here was nothing short of amazing. The community is incredibly kind, polite, and respectful to everyone. As their first Workawayer and someone who is an atheist, they accepted me as who I am and respected to me. The members of the community graciously and thoughtfully answered all of my questions. I was
… read more consistently invited to their events, and not once did I feel alone during my stay.
I joined them for prayer sessions, they shared their meals , and engaged in wonderful conversations, all of which I will treasure. The warmth and hospitality of the community made my time there feel like I was part of something special.
The natural beauty of the place is indescribable. Words simply cannot do it justice, but I highly recommend looking up pictures to get a sense of its serene charm. Working there was also a pleasure. The tasks were simple and well-explained, and I spent most of my time in the potager (vegetable garden) with fantastic teammates who made every day enjoyable.
I’m deeply grateful for having met all of you, and I will carry these beautiful memories with me always. Thank you for such a meaningful and unforgettable experience.👋👋

… read more messe de midi, pour saisir ce qui est important pour la communauté (et aussi pour suivre la liturgie et l'homélie en français). L'atmosphère dans la communauté est détendue est joyeuse, j'ai pu poser des questions sur tous les aspects de la vie dans l'Abbaye et j'ai également apprécié l'intérêt porté à ma personne. J'ai beaucoup apprécié l'ouverture d'esprit de la communauté et de ses membres, jeunes et moins jeunes, internationaux et de sexes différents.
Soeur Cécile, qui est responsable des workawayer, avait toujours répondu immédiatement et de la manière la plus aimable à toutes les questions et demandes et apporté son aide. La structure claire concernant le travail et la participation aux repas et aux événements a également été très utile. J'ai beaucoup aimé le travail dans le potager et dans le parc - un lieu de travail très particulier et magnifique...
J'ai passé une semaine inoubliable à l'abbaye et je ne peux que recommander vivement un séjour Workaway ici!Comentário

I can say that after two weeks of volunteering here, I left feeling much calmer and less anxious than I was before. The quiet surroundings, perfect for contemplating the beautiful mountains and the lake, were truly inspiring. But one part that left a strong impression on me was getting to know the community members and other Christian students who
… read more were there—I made so many friends! They were sweet, respectful people, open to conversation. I learned a lot about their views and beliefs, and even though I don’t consider myself religious, it was very rewarding to connect with them and share a willingness to build unity—a goal we both have! There were people from all over the world, and I was lucky to take part in dance and theater activities with them. I also took the opportunity to walk in the nearby woods and reconnect with nature as I’d hoped. I’m grateful for the chance to visit, and hope to see everyone again soon!
We were so happy to have Laura in the abbey! With her smile and kindness she really integrated fast to daily routine as another member of the house staying the whole year ! She was always available to help around and engage into conversations and sharing of life experiences. We surely miss her !

I like it here very much and have met many people from different places and countries. Everyone is very friendly and we exchange a lot about culture or travel etc.
The scenery here is also very good. On the days without works, you can walk in the nearby mountains and see the beautiful view by the lake.
