  Greetings from our peaceful haven! Nestled in a quaint village with just 150 souls, located a serene 80 km south of Berlin, our home offers the perfect escape into tranquility. Despite our proximity to the Dessau-Berlin railway, the calm of our surroundings is almost uninterrupted, ensuring a peaceful retreat. The nearest town, a mere 5 km bike ride away, provides all necessities from shops to entertainment and healthcare. While I cherish the simplicity of cycling, a car is also on hand for those occasional adventures.
  
  At the heart of this idyllic setting is me, a 56-year-old filmmaker with a zest for life and a passion for my craft. My world is shared with my 16-year-old son, an avid gamer, in an old farmhouse that whispers tales of the past amidst its sprawling garden, dotted with apple trees and cozy fireplaces. Our small family also includes some lively chickens and a loyal dog, all adding to the charm of our rustic life.
  
  This is a fantastic spot for implementing ecological projects. Our focus is on self-sufficiency through our vegetable garden, collecting rainwater, and upcycling materials for constructing an outdoor kitchen, compost toilet, and more.
  My ambition is to tread lightly on the earth while embracing sustainable living. I invite you to join me in these endeavors, offering a unique opportunity to share knowledge, skills, and perhaps a story or two.

  I aim to inspire my guests with a lifestyle that's both creative and sustainable. As part of your stay, you'll have the chance to engage in various projects:
  - Discover housekeeping practices without the use of chemicals.
  - Learn about growing and cooking your own food.
  - Gain hands-on experience caring for chickens, as well as tending to vegetables and herbs in the garden, while enjoying time spent in nature.
  - Explore the vast woods through walks or trail-running, or discover the region on a bike.
  - Get creative with wood and concrete crafts.
  - Dive into the world of filmmaking and film-editing with an opportunity to observe or learn about my work processes.
  - Engage in philosophical discussions by the campfire.
  - Experience local culture through occasional outings to area events, such as concerts.
  
  I'm also open to learning from the inspirations and experiences you bring along.

  Aide

  I'm passionate about producing a significant amount of our food. This means I need extra hands for weeding, caring for, and harvesting in the garden. Additionally, I'm constantly honing my skills in food preservation through various methods, which translates to considerable kitchen work during harvest season.
  
  Our old building also requires skilled hands for repairs and construction projects, where the work can sometimes be quite physical. Assistance with daily housekeeping is greatly valued as well!
  
  As a freelancer, my workload can fluctuate, leading to busy periods where support with everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning becomes invaluable. Cooking is a passion of mine, and while I love preparing meals, I equally enjoy when someone else takes on the chef's role.
  
  With my endless flow of ideas, there's always a plethora of activities to engage in, ensuring a dynamic and fulfilling experience for everyone involved.

  Hébergement

  You'll stay in a rustic, cozy room featuring a wood stove, offering plenty of privacy. Be prepared for the charming company of our noisy chickens just aside. Enjoy reliable Wi-Fi throughout. The room is suitable for two if sharing is not an issue. If you prefer, you're welcome to pitch a tent. For those with their own caravan, ample space is available for parking.
  Actually i'm renovating a large attic, which also could serve as simple accommodation - without heating for the warm period.

  Our area is surrounded by breathtaking nature, offering a network of trails and footpaths perfect for explorers. Horse-riding opportunities are available right in our village, and it's an ideal spot for biking enthusiasts.
  
  Just a short distance away lies the charming city of Bad Belzig, where you can unwind in a thermal bath, explore an ancient castle, catch a film at the cinema, enjoy various restaurants, and take advantage of shopping opportunities.
  
  The community here is vibrant and welcoming, enriched by a diverse mix of artists and communal living projects, making it a hub of inspiration and open-mindedness. Living here is a joy; it's easy to make new friends and immerse yourself in the cultural vibrancy of the area. From rock concerts to mantra singing, thermal baths to sweat lodges, wolf tracking, and much more, there's always something intriguing to experience and explore.

  I welcome workawayers with dogs, as I have done before, but it's important to note that I have a dog and my chickens roam freely. The responsibility falls on the workawayers to ensure the safety of all animals in my home.
