  We are a Catholic social center that has spent more than 20 years assisting ethnic minorities in Northern Thailand. All of the staff is local, except the director who is a missionary priest from Italy. Teenagers, mostly from the minority tribes of the Hill Tribes, are housed in the center. The center wants everyone, regardless of race or religion, to have access to education. The teenagers don't have to travel far each day to attend public school in Chaehom by living at the facility.
  
  In the center we opened a small coffee shop in order to offer scholarships to kids.
  
  We prefer to work with enthusiastic and open-minded volunteers, people with prior workaway project experience, and hosts,To apply for our project, you must be at least 25 years old, and we need one or two volunteers at a time. The missionaries can be extremely busy, therefore the volunteer needs to be self-sufficient and able to communicate with the local staff.
  More than just a place to stay, our Missionary Center is a small family that will welcome you and enjoy its everyday activities with you. That is a memory from life that will last a lifetime.
  
  (Please keep in mind that we have to create a culturally respectful environment, we kindly request that volunteers dress in a manner that is not overly westernized (including short pants for example). Our aim is to maintain a harmonious atmosphere that respects the traditions and customs for the children, our team and the Thai people. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this regard.)

  We need volunteers who can impart their farming expertise and support our regional staff in developing more effective working practices.
  There are numerous chances for assistance throughout the campus. If you enjoy gardening, the staff may be able to tour you around the garden or field and explain how they pick up or water the vegetables and fruits in accordance with the season.

  We're on a mission to make a positive impact on the lives of ethnic minorities and children from the Hill Tribes.
  
  We're seeking dedicated volunteers to join us in various areas:
  1. Teaching English: Help our team learn English and provide them with valuable language skills.
  2. Gardening: Be a part of our year-round gardening team, tending to our green spaces, cultivating and more…
  We are currently working on new projects in the mountains that require attention to gardening.
  3. Coffee Project : Support our project, which serves as a means to fund scholarships for the children.
  - Assist our team in the coffee production process.
  - Marketing: Experience or interest in coffee in marketing, web, social media can also be appreciated.
  We are expanding our project to include the cultivation of tea and cacao!
  4. Art and Design: Bring your creativity to our centre, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our facilities.
  5. Horseman: Someone with experience in horse training. Three horses are in our ownership. We are searching for someone with genuine experience, a passion for horses, and patience.
  6. We would love help in painting the building and maintaining our homestay in a small town where you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the beauty of nature.If you are a professional painter or an independent traveller who can fit in with the new community, we are happy to have you here.

  You will get a private room with a bathroom attached.
  Three locally inspired meals are prepared for everyone at the center every day by their
  Kitchen’s two cooks (breakfast at 7.45, lunch at 12, and dinner at 7 p.m.). You will eat in the dining hall of the boarding with our staff. You will dine in the dining hall at the boarding for five days with our staff and two days on your own. If you wish to travel, you might rent a motorcycle as well, so you'll need a driver's license.

  Our place is located in a countryside area surrounded by rice fields and mountains in Chaehom, 50 km far from Lampang. The surrounding of the center is very safe, so the volunteer can go for runs/walks outside the center, in the rice fields. We also have an indoor gym with some treadmills. Some of the workers enjoy doing aerobics in the evenings after work, they will be happy if you join them. Moreover, there are always buses going to Lampang (approx. 1 hour), and from there you can take a bus/minivan to any other city in the North (you can get to Chiang Mai in three hours from Chae Hom). From the center, you can easily reach Wat Phraphutthabat Pu Pha Daeng, which is very beautiful and the most famous touristic spot in ChaeHom. ChaeHom is a nice, little town, with local shops, a market, and a 7-11, and a Tesco Lotus.
