Descrição

We are Tyler, Zenovia, and Metro. We are a family of three taking 4 months off of our normal schedule to spend some time in New Zealand and Australia. We are Workaway hosts of about 13 years and you may glean more about us by checking our host page at this link:

We are looking to check out the other side of the Workaway experience and promise that we certainly know what makes a good guest (and a bad one!)

Tyler:
I like to build things and make things work. I am a cook and passionate about food and nutrition. My happy place is on a long bike ride in the middle of nowhere with my chefs knife and coffee maker (and really good coffee). I am a cycle tour guide, run a whole food distribution business, and do a darned spanky job of all the cooking, cleaning, fixing, and building too. I am a newly minted 50 years old.

Zenovia: I am passionate about being in nature - sailing, swimming, hiking, wild-crafting, stargazing and gardening. I am a psychiatrist and weave my training in herbalism and coaching into my practice. Together with Tyler, we grow a lot of our own food and our kitchen is a playground for culinary alchemy. I've also trained in many forms of dance and love hosting barefoot ecstatic dances with my friends.

Metro:
I am a high school student and a pretty good one at that: favourite subjects include art and math. I have PADI certification and love diving and snorkelling. I love to fish, play soccer, build forts, and ride dirt bikes. I am an experienced sailor (nearly 10 years) and race Lasers in the summer. I would love to learn how to surf! Age: 15

Quais são suas habilidades?

Tyler: Light carpentry, personal chef, landscaper, gardener, bike mechanic. Great at folding laundry and being meticulously tidy bordering on OCD.
Zenovia: executive and life coach, psychiatrist, landscaping, gardener, herbalist, cook -vegan, paleo, keto, gluten free - I can make a delicious meal for almost any diet, wildcrafting and medicine making, hosting barefoot ecstatic dances,
Metro: some light carpentry skills, landscaping, baking, gifted visual artist (painting, drawing), some blacksmithing skills, PADI certified open water diver, CANSail 5 certified - can teach sailing, babysitting certificate

We are looking for 1 - 2 week stays: in NZ and AU. We are an active and easygoing family of 3. As workaway hosts ourselves, we get the workaway ethos and feel like we would be worth the trouble. Finding the right people as hosts is more important than what type of work we do. Good people make it easy to work hard! We are travelling with bikes and Tyler likes to use his a lot. We will need a safe place to store them.
