My name is Sophie, and I’m currently a sophomore majoring in Art and Design at National Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
Recently, I’ve encountered some creative bottlenecks in my artistic journey and felt a bit lost about myself. I believe that stepping out of my comfort zone and exploring the world will help me rediscover my original passion and inspiration. That’s why I wish to join a workaway cultural exchange program—to experience life in another culture, broaden my perspective, and grow as both an artist and a person.
In the past, I worked as an art teacher at a cram school, guiding children in drawing and creative expression. Those experiences taught me patience, joy, and the beauty of sharing creativity with others. I have strong skills in painting and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching, and I truly look forward to sharing my love for art with children through fun and meaningful activities.
My native language is Chinese, and I’ve always done well in entrance exams that tested my language skills. I would be very happy to introduce this fascinating and mysterious language to your family, especially if anyone is curious about learning Chinese!

This is Sophie, a native Chinese speaker with a deep passion for art and culture. Back in Taiwan, I spent a lot of time participating in public speaking and storytelling competitions, which helped me develop great communication skills and a love for sharing stories. I also have experience tutoring children and helping them prepare for exams, so I’m patient, organized, and enjoy working with kids. Currently, I am immersing myself in learning French. My dream is to apply for an Art and Design Master’s program in France after I graduate, as I am absolutely captivated by the country's rich artistic heritage.

My background is a mix of Fine Arts and Athletics. I’ve been painting for over a decade and have taught art for two years. If your space needs some artistic flair or calligraphy work, I’m your person!
Beyond art, I’m very energetic. My years on the badminton team taught me the value of hard work and staying active. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and I’m always the first to volunteer for new challenges. I learn fast, adapt quickly, and am genuinely excited to try different activities at your place.

I grew up in a household where classical music was the background track of my life. This environment shaped who I am today—someone who deeply appreciates the finer details of art and culture. I’ve spent seven years playing the piano and three years singing in choirs.
My absolute favorite thing in the world is the ethereal harmony of a chapel choir; there’s something about those voices coming together that feels like magic to me. I’m looking forward to bringing this sense of harmony and my disciplined background to your place, while exploring new cultures and meeting like-minded people.
