Descrição
Hi, we are a family living in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Rosita works as a project manager for a non-profit organization. We have a daughter, Mariam — she is 9 years old and she’s wonderful! We have a big apartment (for Paris!). Mariam’s dad, Djack, is a cultural mediator and works for an NGO; he is currently living in Italy. We believe that every exchange and every person has something interesting to offer to others. We love social life, we are friendly and very open-minded. Our wish is to get a bit of help with our daughter at certain times of the day and, at the same time, to share beautiful exchange experiences in our city.

**Social life and community connection**
We live in the vibrant, multicultural 19th arrondissement of Paris, full of parks, markets, libraries, cultural centers, and local events. We often join neighborhood activities, school parties, and family gatherings—you’re welcome to come along, join us for walks in Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, relaxed evenings at home, or Sunday outings in the city. We also love cooking and sharing meals—maybe you can introduce us to dishes from your country!
**Skills and knowledge we can share**
I’m happy to share my experience in social and cultural work, help you practice Italian or some French, and of course, teach you a few Italian recipes! If you're curious about everyday life in Paris or want to improve a language, I’d love to help. Mariam is also very curious and enjoys learning new words and customs.
**What we hope to learn by hosting**
We’re open to the world and excited to welcome people with different backgrounds, languages, and traditions. We hope to grow through this exchange, by discovering new perspectives, hearing life stories, and building meaningful connections beyond cultural differences. I truly believe Mariam—and I—can learn a lot from these experiences.Ajuda Au Pair

Ajuda
We are looking for someone to spend some time with Mariam. She is a very curious little girl — she can learn new words in a different language, play, bake a cake. On some evenings when I go out, you would stay with her.

**Accommodation and Meals**
We would be happy to offer either my room or my daughter’s room to our guest!
As for meals, we’re quite flexible. I don’t eat meat (only fish and occasionally some chicken), but Mariam does, so cooking meat at home is not a problem. We generally eat a bit of everything and we love cooking together—especially baking, which is one of our favorite shared activities!
You’re free to organize your meals during the day, just keeping in mind the times when we’ll need help with Mariam.
We enjoy sharing meals when possible, but feel free to manage your own schedule and food preferences—the most important thing is to communicate and find a rhythm that works for everyone.Algo mais...
**Free time and transport**
Living in Paris, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore the city during your free time! We’re well-connected by public transport—metro, bus, and tram are easily accessible from our neighborhood (19th arrondissement), and many points of interest like museums, parks, markets, and cultural spaces are just minutes away.
If you love nature or outdoor sports, Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is nearby, perfect for walks or relaxing, and the Canal de l’Ourcq is also close for walking or cycling. Paris offers many free or low-cost activities for young people and travelers, and we’d be happy to suggest interesting spots.
**Lifestyle and house rules**
We have a peaceful and reserved lifestyle. At home, we aim to keep a serene atmosphere, so it’s important to respect Mariam’s rest, especially in the evening. She goes to bed early during the week, so we ask for quiet after 9:30 p.m., especially in the common areas (weekends are more flexible). I often work or read late, or wake up early, but it’s always calm and organized.
We’re not fond of noise and don’t have a TV. If you listen to music, please use headphones. Guests are welcome, but we ask to discuss it beforehand, out of respect for the house and the neighbors.
Mariam’s dad , visits occasionally, and we also have friends and family passing through Paris who stay with us. You may occasionally share the house with others for short periods—our small community is warm and respectful of personal space.
We’re looking for a kind, discreet person who can adapt to family life and living in a city like Paris. Mutual respect is key to living together happily!
**A bit about me and my experience with cultural exchange**
Before moving to Paris, I lived in Palermo, where I worked actively with my non-profit in the multicultural Ballarò neighborhood. I had the pleasure of hosting many young people from different countries, both European and non-European, as part of cultural and social projects. It was a wonderful experience that taught me a lot about the meeting of cultures, languages, and ways of life.I’m quite experienced in multicultural living and youth exchanges, though I admit with humor that I’m a bit older now! But my spirit is still young, and I’m always eager to learn and share. Hosting people from other countries is part of my way of living and my worldview: open, curious, and based on mutual respect.Mais alguns detalhes

Our home is also suitable for digital nomads, as long as they understand the kind of exchange we’re offering. You’ll have free time during the day to work on personal projects, especially while Mariam is at school, but I’ll need more help in the late afternoons and some evenings. The Wi-Fi is fast and stable, and you can work in the living room or your room (if available), as long as your work doesn’t involve loud calls or music without headphones. If you can balance your remote work with supporting us, this can be a lovely exchange: a quiet space in a lively city, and a real family experience in Paris.
