Hello! My name is Melissa and I am a volunteer teacher in the Philippines!
I am looking for opportunities to expand upon my experience, learn new skills, and meet new people. One day I hope to work as a human rights advocate and would love to learn about how different NGOs and advocacy organizations work around the world.
I love meeting people from different cultures and making connections around the world. This year I got to travel to many new countries and it is my new favorite hobby! I also love to write and go on walks.

-ESL Certified Fourth Grade Reading, Math, Social Studies, and Science teacher, with 2 years of experience teaching 50 English language learners and implementing effective reading and math curriculum to advance 100% of my students to the next grade level.
-100 + hours of leading a team of 10 counselors to care for and program activities for 50 campers between 7 and 9 years old.
- 2 years of experience creating lesson plans to tutor over 10 English language learners who were seeking support in English language development, as well as cultural and communal integration.
