Hello everyone!

My name is Luisa, I’m 19 years old and I come from Germany.

After finishing school at the end of March this year, I’m excited to take some time to travel, gain new experiences, meet new people and learn from them.

I already volunteered at a dog hotel in Norway in May and would love to continue volunteering while travelling.

I would describe myself as a calm, a little introverted but creative and nature-loving person. I enjoy spending time outdoors, going for walks and hikes, and appreciating the simple things in life. People would also describe me as reliable, empathic and caring. I love having deep conversations with people as well, so spending time with my family and friends is also very important to me.

In my free time, I enjoy doing photography, creating art, playing different instruments (like playing the piano and the violin but also trying to learn other instruments :-)) and anything that allows me to be creative. 🎨 🎶 I also like working with my hands, being outside in nature and spending time with animals, as I grew up with a dog. 🐶

Through Workaway, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the places I visit by meeting local people, learning about their way of life and experiencing cultural exchange. I’m excited to develop new skills, learn more about living in harmony with nature and create meaningful connections with people from around the world.

Especially learning more about working with plants and how to grow fruits and vegetables in order to live more self-sufficiently would be very interesting for me. I would really like to get to know a simpler but meaningful lifestyle while building deeper connections with nature and other people. 🌱

I'm interested in improving my English through everyday conversations. I would also be happy to practise my Swedish and learn more about the language, as I have been learning Swedish on my own for a while. As a native German speaker, I'd be happy to help others practise German as well.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Although I have only recently finished school and therefore don’t have professional work experience yet, I’m eager to learn and happy to help you with different tasks. My previous volunteering and internships also helped me to develop new skills.

As I love spending time outdoors, I would be happy to help with gardening and simple farm work. I am interested in sustainability and would really like to learn more about growing fruits and vegetables from you. I'm not afraid of being outside in different weather conditions and getting my hands dirty.

I also grew up with my own dog and got some experience caring for animals when volunteering at a dog hotel in May 2026. Therefore, I'm comfortable with tasks like feeding, walking, and cleaning.

In addition, I can help with housekeeping, cleaning, cooking and other day-to-day tasks around the house.

Since I enjoy creative activities such as photography and arts as well, I could also help with taking photos or other creative projects if needed. I also did an internship with a professional photographer, where I learned a lot about composition and editing photos.

Most importantly, I am reliable, motivated and willing to learn new skills.
