For the past 3 years, I have been traveling around the U.S. doing Workaway and visiting communes and ecovillages. Now I am excited to be exploring Europe though Workaway. This platform is so awesome because I feel like it attracts some of the most amazing people - people who are open minded, kind, curious, and alternative. I love connecting with these people and learning from them. I am so grateful that a program like this exists because it allows us to learn from and exchange with each other in a way that does not involve money. I also love this form of travel because it is beneficial to all and I can give back to the people and land I am visiting.
About me:
a free-spirited nomad who wants to live an alternative life that has a positive impact
I was born in Los Angeles and am half Korean, half Caucasian. I grew up in Cameroon till I was 13 but then my family moved back to the U.S.
I would describe myself as responsible, detail oriented, fair, and very curious. I value learning, open mindedness, positivity, kindness, good communication, and genuine connection. My interests include camping, hiking, yoga, reading, self growth, games, gardening, natural building, grounding, and basically everything related to health, holistic living, nature, sustainability, spirituality, and alternative living. I love being barefoot whenever I can. I try to leave as little negative impact on our planet as possible and use natural soaps and products. I enjoy composting toilets and peeing outdoors. I do not drink or smoke.
I am friendly and open minded and love meeting new people and having deep conversations. Community and connection is very important to me. Being around people brings me to life and is something I look for in a workaway experience. At the same time, I do also value time to myself where I can reflect, process, ground and check in. Other things I look for in a workaway experience are for hosts who describe themselves as genuinely good people, who are good communicators, unjudgmental, kind, curious of others, and fair.Interesses

Quais são suas habilidades?
in no particular order,
1. Experience with intentional communities and communal living. I have visited (and lived at a few ) communes and eco villages in the U.S. - The Farm, East Wind, Cambia, Acorn, Living Energy Farm, Twin Oaks, Community of Peace, Short Mountain, Sirius, Glomus, Heathcote, and Mad Brook Farm.
2. Gardening and permaculture. I have worked in many different gardens in my Workaway travels. Herbs, plants, and growing food are passions of mine.
3. Cleaning, dishes, household chores, etc.
4. I have experience with and love volunteering with nonprofits and doing community service.
5. I have experience with babies, children, and homeschooling. I myself was homeschooled most of my life. I volunteered in a nursery for 6–10 month olds for 3 years and enjoy helping with babies and children.
6. Cooking and restaurants. By favorite "real" job has been working at a restaurant because I love customer service and teamwork. I can cook but it's something I prefer to do only occasionally. I have knowledge and some experience with making kombucha, water kefir, sauerkraut, sourdough, and also food preservation.
7. Living off grid. I have a lot of experience with this because in Cameroon we were off grid and I've lived in many different off grid communities and homesteads, so I am used to being aware of electric and water usage and being frugal with what is available.
8. I have experience with cob and natural building as well as power tools and basic construction.
9. I have experience with animals- both pet and farm animals. I have done a lot of pet sitting though TrustedHousitters.com which is another great platform that I recommend if you need someone to watch your pets for free and/or want to stay at someone's house for free in exchange for taking care of their pets. As for farm animals, I have experience with chickens, ducks and limited experience with goats, cows, horses.
10. Business. I have an associates degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship but I will be the first to tell you I don't place much value on this degree. I have learned much more from YouTube videos and podcasts. I was interested in business because I wanted the freedom and flexibility that comes with being your own boss. Workaway is that for me now :)
11. I have experience with Airbnb hosting, retreat centers, hostels, and the hospitality industry.Idade
