G'day all !
My name is Joelle and my partner's name is Joseph, we are respectively from Switzerland and England but we met and lived in Australia (Sydney) the past 7 years. We have had enough of the routine life and are willing to experiment a more meaningful way of travelling by sharing our skills and learning as much as possible.
Our life's projects include :
- learning permaculture
- building our own tiny/ecological house
- owning chickens ; make our own honey (beekeeping)
- becoming masters in zero waste and sustainable living
- (hopefully) opening a shelter to rescue animals
Joseph is calm, kind, generous, enthusiast person, a talented musician capable of making music on the spot (guitar), has great communication skills, he learnt to fish and sail, is confident with computers, he is a graphic designer who loves creating logo and flyers, he is a confident driver, he had multiples jobs throughout his life : insurance, administration, landscaping, book binder. He took care of his two nieces when they were babies (they are now 10 and 8 years old), loves children. He also worked for Nikon and has a passion for photography. He loves watching and talking about football (soccer).
Joelle is: outgoing, kind, funny, curious about anything (especially languages) : can speak English and French fluently and knows some words in Spanish, Hebrew and German, a really social bird trying to make everyone smile, not afraid to put her hands in the dirt or climb tree. She can play a bit of piano and a bit of bass but nothing stunning, loves games (board, video, cards, etc.). A huge movie, tv shows and especially documentaries fan, read a lot and always happy to share what she learnt. Loves to be goofy with children. She has a bachelor degree in Social work but mostly worked in hospitality throughout her life. She worked as a barista the past 2 years so can make a mean latte or cappuccino.
We are both decent cook with our own style, even though Joseph still enjoys a piece of meat now and then and Joelle still eat fish and seafood, we are digging the vegetarian lifestyle and are trying to be as plant-based as possible. We both love animals and can't get enough of them. We don't have pets (yet) but we do cat/dog sitting at others people house (or our own) . We are both tidy and clean (I am the dishwasher queen and he is the floor sweeper king). We are both trying to live a minimalist life and trying to use as less water and electricity as possible.
Our main goal is to meet awesome people and learn anything from them. We would love to be immerged in your culture and your traditions.
