Sander was a delight to host. Very unassuming but very keen and able to see to all tasks needed. Quite a variety from gardening, doing lawns, ironing, vacuuming and taking care of my dog Marshall. Marshall got lots of adventure walks both through the bush and at the beach. Towards the end of his visit I left him to housesit for a few days to come

Margaret took me in last-minute and let me stay for 10 days. I'm really grateful for it! I had an amazing time in Mangawhai, which is a cozy little town. We always started the day by having a walk on the beach with Marshall and having a little swim after. Marshall is such a lovely dog, who loves to mingle with other dogs and chase after birds.

The work itself was easy going as well. I've mostly done some gardening and other small tasks, like ironing and watering the plants. Margaret helped me to learn new things and always made sure I was taking care of. We've had some nice conversations and she helped me to meet other kiwis too. Thanks to her help I went on a fishing trip with one of her neighbours, who also gave me a lift to Auckland a few days later. The Mangawhai community is so friendly!
Overall I've had an amazing experience with a lovely host in a beautiful location. I can recommend this workaway to anyone!
Joseph and Joelle were a pleasure to host. From the beginning right to the end their enthusiasm was enchanting and very genuine. They were very willing and able to pick up anything that was needed to be done, including , mowing lawns, cleaning, fridge and oven, gardening, general housework, ironing, cooking lovely meals and walking my dog,

Some of the time we all walked Marshall together on fun walks other times they took him themselves and he was mightily entertained by them while at home, so much so that we both missed them on their departure.
They fitted in with my friends well on social occasions too.
So am very happy to recommend Joseph and Joelle to fit in and help with whatever is needed.
Our stay with Margaret was amazing from start to finish. Even before we arrived, we were in contact wit each other via Whatsapp and able to coordinate our arrival with ease. Her home is warm, beautiful and situated in an lively small town near many beaches. Our routine consisted of taking Marshall - an adorable 1 year old pup - to the beach each

We also played lots of board games and shared delicious meals while admiring the view. Margaret has many friends around town and we met a lot of them during activities at her house or outside, it was lovely to connect with many kiwis and getting to know their culture. We also went to the museum and learn a lot about Mangawhai and its people. Marshall is the easiest dog in the world, he just love to play and has tons of energy but he never barks or make a fuss. He is curious, gentle and love both people and other dogs. I would recommend staying here if you love animals and want to experience a peaceful seaside town surrounded by beautiful nature. Thank you Margaret for everything, we loved staying with you and hopefully we will see you again in few years :)
It was unfortunate I was quite ill when Simon and Emma-arrived.
This made it difficult to fully describe tasks that were needed along with the language differences. However, they were still able to help out a lot with exercising my dog, mowing lawns, housework and cooking .

Gabriela was a delight to meet and wasted no time fitting in and offering help in every direction.

Feito pelo anfitrião para o Workawayer (Luca)
Luca was new to Workaway and initially did not realise his initiative was important. Being only 18 we were surprised at his maturity.
We had interesting discussions and Luca excelled at housekeeping, ironing, cooking and caring for my dog.
Once he realised what was needed he was excelled. A lesson for me too in communication.
I wish Luca well

I really enjoyed the time with Margaret (and Allan, her partner). They were amazing hosts and I felt welcome right from the beginning.
Besides the exchange of interesenting stories and also some music songs, I learned so many things about Kiwis and the life in New Zealand and I'm very grateful for that.
Mangawhai (the town where Margaret

I would definitely recommend Margaret as a host for every workawayer!Feito pelo anfitrião para o Workawayer (Jonas)
Jonas was a delight to host.
He was quite mature for his age, very respectful and hard working.
He could turn his hand to helping fencing, to ironing to housework, to cooking lovely interesting meals , to doing lawns.
We had lovely discussions on music and most things in general.
He made an effort to see as much as he could of the area.
Very happy

Hosts were very very sweet, let me use bike for transportation whenever I needed to go to the local town and beach. They have a lovely home and cook great food. I truly enjoyed staying here and the amount of work I was given was totally manageable and fair. Views from the back and front yard were also amazing. They were also nice enough to arrange

Ylva was an efficient, easygoing Workawayer. She was very helpful in all aspects of the running of the house and enjoyed our beach life.
We sampled a lovely traditional Swedish dish expertly cooked by Ylva.
Can recommend Ylva to you home.

Andrea’s (Andy) and his travelling companion Miriam were a delight to meet. Very respectful and hardworking.
With the help of Allan they transformed my garaging and outdoor shed to maximum space and neatness.
They assisted in my rental changeovers, did lawns and we shared our musical taste. I can recommend their jigsaw abilities too🙃😊

Margaret and Allan have been for more than two weeks the most wonderful hosts with me. I couldn’t have expected more, I was welcomed like if I was a member of the family in Margaret’s house which is beautiful and heartwarming.
They took me fishing on a boat trip, we did jigsaw, we visited Mangawhai museum and did a lot of cooking and baking

I also really appreciate Margaret’s involvement in my English learning (we played Scrabble for me to learn new words).
The main task was to clean the chalet (do the laundry and ironing the pillowcases) after the guests left, but it was not every day because there is someone else who do the cleaning the other days. There was also a few gardening missions like helping mow the lawn, weeding, watering…
I totally recommend Margaret for a workaway, and I hope we will meet again!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Anthe was the perfect Workaway.
