Hi, I'm Ha-Young 😊

I'm a Korean New Zealander who is in Spain on a working holiday/mobility visa for a year. I studied Spanish in high school, and I dreamed of experiencing the lifestyle, food and culture that Spain has to offer.

I am friendly, thoughtful, respectful and a great communicator. I am multi-passionate and creative, with some of my hobbies include DJing, acroyoga, dancing and reading.

Some of my skills include:
- Fluent English, intermediate Spanish, conversational Korean
- Content creation
- Digital marketing
- Copy writing
- Teaching yoga and acroyoga (200hr YTT and I taught beginner acroyoga in NZ)
- Childcare
- House and pet sitting

I am also someone who is hardworking and great at picking up new things. Even if things are outside of my current skillset, I am open to learning and getting to work!

I love what Workaway has to offer in terms of a cultural exchange, and look forward to experiencing and being immersed in different ways of life. Some of my favourite experiences are sharing meals with other people, going to beautiful historic and cultural places, being in nature and experiencing special cultural traditions that we do not have in New Zealand. I hope that I get to return the favour by sharing some traditional Korean food with you as well.

Although I studied Spanish is high school, unfortunately I am quite out of practice! I would love to improve my Spanish with people who are patient enough to be my conversation partners. I also learnt Latin American Spanish, so it would be great to learn more European Spanish 🇪🇸 I am fluent in English and conversational/advanced in Korean, so I happy to help teach either of these languages.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Content Creation & Digital Marketing
I have worked in social media and digital marketing for businesses across a range of industries, including tourism, wellness, corporate leadership and children's art classes. My roles have included making content for social media, managing accounts, paid ads for Facebook and Instagram and making email newsletters for subscribers.

Copy Writing & Website Management
I previously worked as a Content Writer for an independent media company, and have experience in basic website management. This was mostly updating websites with fresh copy, making sure information was correct and up-to-date and basic SEO.

House & Pet Sitting
I dog sat for friends back home, and have house and pet sit while in Spain. I enjoy the routine of having dogs to walk as part of my routine and enjoy caring for animals, and always make sure the house is tidy and well cared for.

Childcare
I enjoy playing with children and happy to help them with their homework, as I was a tutor for high school science and mathematics. I also previously cared for an autistic 12 year old girl that required constant care and attention. My role included a mix of playing with her, supporting her regular routine and preparing basic meals.

Yoga & Acroyoga Teacher
I completed my 200hr YTT in 2023 and taught yoga classes for the elderly. I enjoy teaching restorative and yin-style yoga, but my favourite is teaching acroyoga. I taught beginner acro classes monthly, as well as at festivals.
