Hi! I’m Giulio, I’m 22 years old, and I’m from Italy. I’m a curious, determined person who is always ready to take on new challenges. I love traveling, learning about new cultures, and adapting to different environments, which is why I decided to embark on a Workaway experience.

I am currently studying Phisioterapy, but in my free time, I dedicate myself to many passions. I strongly believe in the importance of physical and mental well-being: I have experience as a volleyball coach for children of different ages. I enjoy spending time outdoors, taking care of my garden, and being in contact with nature.
I am also very mindful of sustainability and creative reuse: I like giving new life to objects instead of throwing them away. I love simple and essential travel, exploring new places through trekking and bikepacking. Additionally, I have a deep love for animals, especially dogs.

I consider myself a kind and helpful person who easily adapts to different situations. I like to stay organized, and when I set a goal, I do everything I can to achieve it. At first, I may seem a bit introverted, but once I get comfortable, I become very sociable.

I want to take part in this experience to grow personally, discover new cultures, and immerse myself in environments different from my daily life. I believe this is a great opportunity to become more responsible, learn new skills, and, most importantly, improve my English. I am eager to get involved, help where needed, and learn as much as possible!

I am very interested in learning English because I believe it is an essential language for traveling and having new experiences with people from different nationalities. Currently, my level is low-intermediate (B1), but I want to improve it to communicate more fluently and confidently. I would like to enhance my listening skills, pronunciation, and conversation abilities. English will also be useful for my future job, so I am motivated to practice it as much as possible. I am open to any experience that can help me improve my language skills.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have had various work experiences that have allowed me to develop many useful skills in different fields. I worked as a waiter in a restaurant, which taught me how to work under pressure, manage customer relations, and collaborate with a team. I also worked at a beach resort, setting up umbrellas and sunbeds, and as a lifeguard, a role that gave me a strong sense of responsibility and taught me to make quick decisions in delicate situations.

Sports are a great passion of mine, and I had the opportunity to work as a volleyball coach for children of different ages. This experience helped me develop patience, leadership skills, and a great ability to work with kids. I also love animals and have worked as a dog sitter, taking care of dogs’ needs and well-being.

I have experience in agricultural work as well: I have participated in grape harvesting and lavender picking, two activities that taught me the value of physical labor and the importance of attention to detail.

In my free time, I enjoy gardening, taking care of plants, and keeping outdoor spaces tidy. I am a hands-on person, and I like doing small manual tasks and helping with household chores. Additionally, with my experience working with both children and animals, I know how to take care of them with attention and responsibility.

I am adaptable, reliable, and always eager to learn. I believe my experiences and skills can be useful in different contexts, and I am happy to offer my help wherever needed!

Music fascinates me, even though I don’t play any instruments, but I enjoy listening to it and discovering new genres. I love food and find it fascinating to explore new flavors and culinary traditions because I believe food is a fundamental part of a culture. I also enjoy giving new life to objects, finding creative ways to reuse them and reduce waste. In my free time, I relax by watching movies and TV series or reading, two activities that allow me to immerse myself in different stories and worlds. Additionally, I enjoy practicing all kinds of sports, as I believe they are essential for both physical and mental well-being.
