Hi! :)
My name's Franzi, I'm 22 years old and live in Austria. I would describe myself as an open-minded, welcoming and outgoing young girl with a bubbly character.
To me, travelling does not only mean crossing off places from my bucket list but rather getting in touch with foreign people and their cultures, developing my personality and trying new ways of living. No matter if it's "just" a weekend-trip to a city nearby or a long-term stay on another continent, I want to use every opportunity to broaden my horizon.
What I love most about travelling is the freedom and the feeling of living a totally different life than the one at your home.
What brings me happiness is definitely the contact to people - and especially children. Seing their smiles and their pure joy makes me spend even more time wirh them.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I completed my bachelor's degree in English and Physical education in June. My studies have provided me with a strong foundation in both communication and instructional skills which are, in my opinion, essential for volunteering. While the English component of my studies enables me to effectively communicate with many people and adapt to diverse settings, Physical Education has helped me further develop my methodological and didactical skills.
In addition to my academic education, I have completed a fitness instructor certification which enhanced my ability to plan and carry out motivating and effective training sessions with both adults and children.
I have already gained a lot of experience concerbing working wirh children in various settings, including gymnastics clubs, ski schools and summer camps, which let me improve my teaching skills and enhance my ability to motivate and support young athletes. Last summer, I co-organized a sports summer camp where I was responsible for around 80 children and 15 camp counsellors, which required strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to coordinate a team and create an enjoyable yet structured atmosphere for the children. This role has improved my leadership skills and further reinforced my passion for working with children. As I have completed several internships in schools, I also have much experience in teaching English to children.
Apart from working with children, I also have some experience in farming and gardening. As I've already volunteered on a farm in Hawaii, I could also improve my skills in farm-work and animal care.

I'm very passionate about sports. Ranging from gymnastics and volleyball via swimming and cycling to skiing and snwoboarding, I'm always happy to improve my own skills as well as teach mine to others. I especially love teaching sports to children as I am convinced that having a healthy relationship to physical activity can lay a foundation for the children's development and improve their health.
