I love to travel and explore new regions, meet new people and immerse myself in various cultures, especially the cuisine part :). I love to be creative whether its in the kitchen creating meals or outside building a project. I'm also an environmentalist who likes to see others create a better world. Im from the west coast of Canada on an island where nature is close and is part of my serenity. I have just completely a contract as a environmental consultant to a First Nation community supporting their land and fishing rights as well as helping the community respond to emergencies, natural and man made disaster. I get a great deal of satisfaction when helping others. A naturalist by heart, I'm always interested in learning about the landscape and the local wildlife. I'm a bit of a birder and have volunteered at several bird observatories in my past. I also have a large flower garden on the property which we sell on our stands. Ive included a picture of one of many dahlias which grows in our garden. I love working with animals and have volunteered at the local animal rescue here on the island. I am currently house and pet sitting, two cats and a dog.

Quais são suas habilidades?
I enjoy cooking and baking and love to be creative. I have several dishes that I feel are quite good through years of experimenting. Nothing crazy just plenty of fine tuning. I recently started to make my own sourdough bread with much success. Im fairly handy with tools and enjoy small and large building projects. I can do basic plumbing and electrical and have built several decks, sheds and have renovated kitchens and bathrooms. My background is environmental science and business administration and much of my work history is on the admin side with our federal government. Therefore I am quite proficient with spreadsheet and word document programs.

I am very familiar with many board and card games. Im a bit of a sommelier when it comes to wine and enjoy tastings. I play the guitar and mandolin although it has been a few years since Ive played the mandolin. I'm a bit of a birder, I love to hike, kayak/canoe, fish, ski, golf and mountain bike. As I mentioned early in my profile I enjoy cooking and baking and home improvement projects.
