Alan is a recently retired nurse, trained in Canada but worked in the USA most of his career working in the emergency room, pain clinics, hospice etc. He spent many months traveling by bike in Europe in his 20's. He is French speaking by birth but English is his main language. He also speaks fluent Spanish and a smattering of Portuguese. He is currently learning Afrikaans. He is handy with tools, not afraid of getting his hands dirty and likes to pitch in.
He had a large garden to maintain including pruning and planting. He has also raised and bred rabbits as a hobby.
