I’m Alejandro, an architect from Argentina. I’ve been living in Italy for the past four years, and I’m currently exploring Switzerland as a way to get to know the country, its culture, and everyday life from the inside. I use Workaway as a way to integrate gradually, practice the language, and connect with people and places in a meaningful, respectful way.

I’m a beginner in German. My native language is Spanish, and I also speak English and Italian.

I’m comfortable with practical, hands-on work and enjoy contributing in a calm, solution-oriented way. I’m happy to help with gardening, plants, general maintenance, manual tasks, cooking, and everyday routines. I adapt easily to how a household works and tend to take responsibility naturally. Thanks to my professional background, I can also support small renovation, reorganization, or planning-related tasks (drawings, practical ideas, simple spatial solutions), if useful, alongside regular help.

In my free time, I enjoy moving around by bike, keeping a regular yoga practice, and exploring the architecture, history, and cultural life of the places I stay, including cities, towns, and local museums.

I’m an independent and peaceful person, attentive to shared spaces and daily rhythms. As the eldest of four siblings, I’m used to contributing to family life, helping where needed, and adapting to different situations. I value respect, openness, and clear, easy communication.

Beyond practical help, I see Workaway as an opportunity to meet people, understand different cultures from the inside, and grow personally through shared experiences. Past hosts have described me as reliable, polite, proactive, and easy to have around, both in daily life and in longer-term stays.

I am an architect; I have worked in customer service and in architecture office practice. I had a vegetable garden back in my hometown in Argentina where I grew mostly cucurbitaceae. I used to play bass and guitar in a band.

I can use a couple of softwares, mostly related with design and 3D such as Photoshop, Autocad, Sketch Up and lately I’ve been developing some Augmented Reality filters for social media so if this can be of any use for you I would be glad to help.
