Yana: Hi!

I am a caring young woman who has recently been looking for more fulfilment. I have always loved helping others, especially the ones who have had difficult times. Ever since I was little I have always felt the need to be thought off as a good person and I try to live a life I can be proud off. This is why I always worked with children, youngsters or grown ups who have special needs. I am an empathic person, I thrive when I can help others or bring people together or make people shine.

When I am in nature, in sunny places or around other people who don't let themselved get fooled by the rat race of materialism, I feel my best. Nature and animals have always been a big part of my life. I can't remember a time that I wasn't taking care of at least a couple of guinea pigs and cats. My family had a children's farm with horses, sheep, goats, chickens, geese, rabbits,... And I myself have always had fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs and even a random hedgehog that one day just decided to stay around my house in the garden.
I've saved bats, street cats, wild rabbits and mice caught by my cats,... It just makes me feel happy.

Apart from the above, I've also been working in creating decoration from second hand or free materials for small and bigger events. I like being creative and learning from others.
I've been doing this in Belgium and in Portugal and am planning to do it more all over Europe.

Teaching
I have studied to become a teacher and educated people of all ages in various topics such as English, Dutch, mathematics, biology, arts,...

Creating deco
For the last 6 years I have been creating deco and nice chill areas from second hand or free materials. I don't have a specific skill apart from putting together a nice atmosphere and know a little from everything like painting, putting new fabric on old furniture, creating new things from old things,...

Cooking
I LOVE cooking, it's what I look forward to after a day at work. I like getting creative with spices and all kinds of vegetables and ingredients. I love cooking for my partner, my friend group and my family.

Listening
I've been through quite a lot of good times but also learned how to love myself when I'm struggling. When someone in my environment is having a hard time, I want to create a safe space for them, wether that involves helping or just listening, just being there.

Taking care of animals
Unfortunately some of my beloved pets have had diseases or needed operations. I always took it upon me to learn everything about how to take care of them. I would go above and beyond to help them to eat something, clean wounds, sleep next to them.
