🙋 About me

Hey there! I’m Thomas — 24 years old, from France, active, curious, and always up for new adventures. I’m currently traveling through Central and South America with the goal of discovering local cultures, improving my Spanish, and meeting inspiring people along the way.

I’ve always believed that the best way to understand a place is to get involved — helping, learning, sharing stories, and laughing together. That’s what motivates me the most: authentic connections and meaningful exchanges.

😁 What makes me happy

Spending time outdoors — hiking, climbing, cycling — basically anything that involves a bit of movement and fresh air ! I'm passionate about mountains and environnement.One of my childhood dreams is to discover the rainforest and how it works, it's one of the main reasons for this trip. I also love music, spontaneous plans, and evenings that end with good conversations.

Helping out, learning new skills, and feeling part of a project or community really bring me joy. I’m someone reliable, positive, and adaptable — I don’t mind getting my hands dirty if it means contributing to something real.

🎯 Why I’m here

I joined Workaway to live closer to local life, practice my Spanish, and give back while traveling. Whether it’s helping in a hostel, assisting on a small farm, or supporting eco or community projects, I’m excited to learn and share good energy.

Quais são suas habilidades?

🛠️ I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands and seeing concrete results from what I do. I like manual work, whether it’s building, repairing, gardening, or any kind of practical task that needs energy and precision. I’m not a professional builder, but I learn fast and really enjoy physical, outdoor work — especially when it’s part of a team or a creative project...

🌿 I studied Environmental Management and Sustainable Mountain Area Development, which gave me a strong understanding of natural ecosystems and how to protect them. I’m deeply interested in ecology, local sustainability, and projects that respect the environment. I’m always happy to learn more about permaculture, organic farming, and low-impact living.

🧹 I’m also quite organized and reliable when it comes to daily tasks — cleaning, maintenance, helping in hostels, cooking simple meals, or assisting with guests. I like to keep things clean and efficient, and I’m always willing to learn how to do something new.

😌 Besides that, I enjoy social interaction and teamwork. I can adapt easily to different environments and I like bringing a positive, motivated energy wherever I go.

I’m currently available for 2 to 3 weeks, and I’d really like to live an experience that allows me to fully immerse myself in the local culture and daily life. I’m not just traveling to visit places — I want to share moments, learn new ways of living, and contribute where I can.
