Descrição

Greg and I spend 4 months a year travelling and trekking in different parts of the world. Our passion for travel has been a lifelong joy. I have lived and worked in America, Japan, Mauritius, South Africa, Noumea, and The Maldives. We were fortunate to have jobs which involved travel in the tourism industry.
My other great joy are animals and I have had dogs, cats and horses my whole life. Recently we have been fortunate enough to care for gorgeous dogs and cats in peoples homes in England and loved the opportunity to get to live in places and feel like a local.
We both enjoy raising our own food when we are home and food is definitely another of our passions when travelling.

We are always interested in learning the language of the countries or areas we visit. While languages are inherently interesting we believe learning some basics in the local language is a sign of respect for the people.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Greg and I have many years of experience in the hospitality industry. We ran a wilderness lodge in the highlands of Tasmania called Thousand Lakes Lodge. With just the two of us we fed, entertained and cared for 16 people in 8 rooms in an off the grid lodge. We were required to be quite resourceful as our resupply came once a week but our clients arrived on a daily basis. That was our post covid experience, before that we were International Flight attendants for most of our working career which has given us a great understanding of people, a passion for travel and a sense of wanderlust that never leaves.
Greg renovated his first home and is skilled with tools both electric and manual. We are constantly working on our own heritage home and have skills in general home maintenance.
Our garden is a particular passion for us and we love spending time raising our own food and creating a beautiful space.
I have owned dogs,cats and horses all my life, had a small farm for a number of years and get great joy out of spending time with animals. We have spent some time in England caring for travellers animals and loved the experience.
Greg is a very competent outdoorsman and we both love long distance trekking and being in nature.
We are parents with grown children so have lots of experience with both little ones and older one

We both enjoy playing Bananagrams at home but its too heavy for our backpacking ways while travelling
Greg is very interested in Geopolitics and listens to lots of podcasts about the changing nature of our world
Lisa enjoys textiles, knitting, sewing and such and cooking for friends and family
We have just started making cider and are enjoying the process
