Hello everyone!
I'm Sara, a young person with a passion for travel, nature and new experiences.
I am enthusiastic about undertaking an experience abroad and, in particular, I am very interested in Berlin (Germany). I spent a week there last summer and really enjoyed it and I would like to come back. I want to become part of the local culture, learn the language (I have a basic level of German and am determined to improve it) and live in close contact with local traditions.

I like spending my time outdoors, hiking and exploring nature. I belong to an Italian alpine club and have spent many weekends with friends hiking in the mountains. At the same time, when I am free, I am happy to sit on the sofa and read a book in peace. I have a thoughtful personality and am very reliable, qualities that allow me to work hard and seriously on any project.

I am ready to contribute to any project where I can learn and put my skills into practice. I can help in various areas, such as caring for children or animals, manual work or gardening, and I am also available and happy to help with the Italian language if required. I am a person who can easily adapt to situations and who is ready to learn new trades or skills.
I am looking for an experience in Germany where I can grow personally, I like the idea of being part of a family or community, learning from their experience and bringing my contribution. I am open to any kind of project, be it outdoor activities, care or other.

I am very motivated to learn German, both for personal and professional reasons. In the future, I would like to have the opportunity to work in Germany and, in particular, to get to know Berlin better, a city that I find fascinating in so many ways. I studied German in the early years of high school, but unfortunately I have not had many opportunities to practice it since then. Now, I feel the time has come to pick it up again and learn more about it, especially for the opportunities it can offer. I live in Riva del Garda, a town in Trentino Alto Adige, where German is a very important language. The area is visited by many German tourists, especially in spring and summer, and knowing German is crucial for working in the tourism sector or in the province of Bozen, where there are many German speakers. This is one of the reasons why I want to improve my German language skills. Furthermore, if my host family would be interested in learning Italian or would like to practise some English, I would be happy to offer my help while I continue my German learning process.

Quais são suas habilidades?

My course of study and work has allowed me to develop strong interpersonal skills. I attended the Human Sciences High School and during last summer I also had the opportunity to work as an interviewer in a survey on cycling in my region. This role allowed me to come into contact with many people, especially tourists, exchanging chats and improving my English language skills (and also some German).
Working with people is something I am passionate about. I consider myself a patient and caring person, qualities I have also honed in caring for and accompanying my grandmother. This experience has taught me to be more helpful and to take care of others in a responsible manner.
I have a certain manual dexterity: I can help with various little jobs around the house, such as cleaning, small maintenance tasks or simply organising spaces.
If you have creative or artistic work to do, I would be happy to lend a hand, I don't have specific skills in this field but I am passionate about it and I am very attentive to details.
I love animals, at home I have a cat that I take care of and love to play with.
As for languages, I am a native Italian speaker and speak good English. I would be happy to help those who wish to improve their Italian, sharing my language skills with others.
I am a reliable person, with a great desire to learn and to test myself in new contexts. I believe that Workaway represents the perfect opportunity to grow, make new friends and immerse myself in German culture.

I am a mountain lover! For the past two years, I have joined the local Italian Alpine Club and have been exploring trails, trekking, tackling via ferrata routes and even started climbing. Nature gives me peace and soothes me; it is a beautiful activity that I love to do together with my friends.

In Berlin, I would like to go for walks in the parks, enjoy the tranquillity of nature in the city and relax there with a good book. Besides the mountains, I am also fond of board games, a perfect way to spend fun evenings with friends.

I am curious to discover the city of Berlin, with its history and lively cultural scene. I am excited about visiting exhibitions and participating in cultural activities that are not easily accessible in my small town, Riva del Garda.
