Dear Host Family,
We are international married couple who is currently workawaying in Canada and have an open work permit till the end of 2030.
My name is Olga and originally İ am from Ukraine. My husband Murat was born in Turkey and for last 12 years before we came to Canada he used to work in area of hospitality in Food and Beverage in Rixos Premium Hotel in Antalya.
As a married couple we came in Teslin, YT in the beginning of March 2024 and immediately started our workaway project in grocery store and motel where I used to run the till, check in/out guests and my husband because of his limited English stock the shelves and help with housekeeping. We both had 40 hours paid job and our employer provided free accommodation as well.
After 3 months in Teslin we got 1 month break for Williams Lake and worked there as waiter/waitress and housekeeping in a cafe and family run resort.
After 1 month in Williams Lake we returned to Teslin, Yukon and worked in grocery store till end of April 2025.
From May 2025 till end of September we both worked in Bistro in Carcross, Yukon. My husband worked as a cook in BOH and me as a waitress in FOH. After Yukon we used to workawayed for 1 month in Hinton, Alberta. Mainly we prepared breakfasts and did general cleaning. Because of the end of the season and because it was 3 more workawayers during our stay in Hinton we worked less than 25 hours a week.
Currently we are workawaying in Salmon Arm, BC and start from May 2026 We would love to find a seasonal/long turm paid workaway project in area of hospitality which will help us to collect new skills and make some savings before winter season.
Though we are planning to spend a few months in Canada but our main goal is to travel to NZ and Denmark and we would love to stay there a whole summer or just couple of months. We love both pet/house sitting projects or it might me some paid job in area of hospitality and customer service. In case of volunteering pet/house sitting we would be more than happy to bring love and good care to your animal and take very proper care of your house/garden as well🐕🐈‍⬛🐇 And if it's going to be a paid job in cafe, hotel, camping park or just lodge we can ensure we will do our best to satisfy all customers needs and bring as much positive and "can do" attitude as possible.
We love this platform coz it allows to combine work and pleasure. Explore new places, see the world and become a part of a new family or community life even for a short period of time🌏

My mother language is Ukrainian. I speak English quite fluently. My boyfriend is Turkish that's why i keep learning Turkish as well. Plus i can speak and understand Danish on daily basis too.

Quais são suas habilidades?

For the last 3 years i used to work as an English teacher in kindergarten in Thailand. I used to work as au pair in Denmark and Norway and being around the kids is what makes me happy.

I love sports. I play tennis and swim a lot. I go for jogging and if your family is active in sparts I would be just happy to join you🙂
If you live on a farm or have a summer house I can help with gardening or animals.

I am expirienced Front Office Agent and used to work in the area of hospitality too. I know what is the daily routine for hotel run business and if you have some home running hotel I can help with cleaning, cooking or maintaining the area around.

I hope my future host family will be living near the beach or nature so I can go for swimming or walking from time to time🙂
