Descrição
Hi, I'am Océane, a 30 years old woman, who is coming from France.
I am working in the field or architecture and urbanism and living actually in Paris. Initially I was born near the Alps, next to the border with Italy and lived there during 19 years. This personal journey makes me love both "cities" and "campaigns".
In my earlier studies I had the chance to live between different cities in France and had an experience of 6 months in Prague (Czech Republic). I discovered a lot east and central Europe during this time. Whether for my work or personally, I love to explore new places, geographies meet cultures and people. I loved my studies and I love my job for all these thinks.
Generally, what makes me happy and what I like to do is working with my hands, sketching, for my own or to think about new spaces. I like reading, have conversations about the world and society, laugh, play. I like art, cinema and I am nerd in music, love singing and discovering new songs. I love being in the mountains or near the ocean, walking, surfing, discovering new landscapes, gardening and taking care of the ground and earth in general. I use to live with my family in a former farm with a tiny garden and love to go there, gardening and eat great food from the ground.
I am use to live in "community" thanks to my "big family" and the fact that we all have lived next to each other when I was younger and I come from a family of 5 (3 children). My big brother and my big sister have 3 kids and I love playing with them, teaching and learning from them as well. I love to exchange and live with other people.
My dream since the beginning of my studies in architecture was to come and visit Japan. Now that I'm older and I can afford it I decided to take the plunge and travelled in Asia for 5 or 6 months, begin with Vietnam for a couple of weeks and stayed the maximum of time in Japan to discover the culture, the architecture and have a real experience in the country. Traditional architecture of Japan nourishes me a lot in my work and my vision, I am fascinated by woodworking, light, spaces, details, ...) . Also I want to do more manual work (rather in DIY, agriculture, permaculture,...) and share with people and for all theses reasons I decided that woofing was the best way to move and visit Japan.
In my past experiences I already made participatory works. I helped to design and build a space for breakfast for a festival in Portugal that tries to respect nature as much as possible and use as muc as possible reused materials. I helped create a shelter for a school with a carpenter who explained us how to made it all with our hands and few tools. These past experiences have shown me how much I like to participate and help build any element but also the importance of sharing and doing together.
I'm looking forward to meeting you,
With gratitude,
