I like to meet people, to improve my language and learn about other places and how other people live their lives.
I like to do a good job - "If it's worth doing - it's worth doing well".
I have had three workaway experiences in England, where I painted, ironed, weeded, cooked, cleaned, dug a driveway, repaired fence, tidied and a lot of other tasks. I have had two workaway experiences in France, where I mostly did woodwork, cooked and cleaned.

Three weeks with Colette, other Work-awayers, and guests in her old, old house, some of it from 1549 was a joy. I was looking for a quiet place, for nice jobs and most of all for a lot of conversations and I got it all. Marianne stayed in Passavant for more than 3 wonderful weeks. Starting with a younger student from Switzerland, followed by another woman from Belgium we had a lovely time and Marianne was a beautiful person to be with for all of us.

It was wonderful to host Marianne. Her English is excellent, she is friendly and cheerful and an excellent house guest. Moreover she was so helpful completing lots of tasks to a high standard. Marianne shows initiative but will also ask for clarification if she is not sure. I wish she could have stayed for longer!

I stayed with Val and Steve for nearly 3 weeks. I would have loved to stay there much longer. It is an amazing place both the house and the gardens but most important the couple. Marianne was so helpful and really happy to get on and do things. She kept the house clean and tidy, decorated and did some gardening. She is a genuine and thoughtful lady who I would recommend to anyone considering having her stay.
She was happy to have a go at anything that needed doing.
I enjoyed having her to visit and would recommend her.

I stayed with Anna for nearly 3 lovely weeks, I went off for 3 days, while Anna had family visiting.
