Hello everyone!

I'm Miranda, 52 years old and my travelling adventure will start in January.
It's been a dream for many years to visit Australia again, so now I will!

I come from a village of 5000 inhabitants. I lived in the countryside until I was 18, went abroad for more then a year to study, then moved to the city Deventer to start my working career.
I've finished Art school, specialized in photography, worked in small studios and shops for quit some time. Later on I have changed my career to logistics. Huge fan of big trucks, vessels and planes. Worked for several big companies doing administrative work, planning, organizing etc.
At the moment I work in elderly care, which has strengthened my sense of responsibility, patience and genuine care for people.

Traveling for me is about truly getting to know a place. I enjoy being outdoors and feel at ease in environments where a balanced way of life is valued. Workaway appeals to me because it combines traveling with outdoor, hands-on work, contributing to a place, and creating genuine connections with people. Love to share experiences, being part of everyday life rather than just passing through.

I am a fairly versatile person, I do a little bit of everything, I like to participate in completing projects and creating new ones. Don't worry, I always try to avoid problems. And if they occur, try to resolve them as quickly as possible. Be independent, try lots of things to do by myself, but wont hesitate to ask for help if something doesn't work out.

I like to always be in contact with the earth. I have done voluntary work in Holland. For 3 years now I help on a vineyard, picking grapes. Love being outdoors, love nature, unexpected landscapes and experiences. Make long hikes as well, love to be among nature. And if Holland wouldn't be as flat as it is, you could find me in the mountains, there are really stunning.

I also love art. Spent lot of time in art galleries around Holland. And read lots of books, I visit the library weekly. Like to travel around, meeting new people, making contact and learn from them.
I'm very open-minded about learning new things and improving skills because I'm a curious and enthusiastic person. In my opinion, getting to know new cultures and people make our world interesting and beautiful, and I would like to be a part of that:)

Quais são suas habilidades?

My greatest achievement is to be a mum of two great grown up kids. If I see how they've developed to 2 awesome adults, I'm proud.
Besides being a mum I studied Art. I'm creative and can use my creativity in many ways.
Decorated my own house, don't avoid any job in the house, from painting to maintenance.
Love the outdoors, love being in nature and help around in gardens or work in the fields. Have done grape picking and assistance on a farm, harvesting various products.
I'm interested in meeting people, but can be perfectly on my own as well.
Love a good conversation and taking care of people in many ways.
