Hello dear people.
My Name is Tanja, I come from Austria. I want to use workaway as an opportunity to explore the world, make connections, share my gifts, help, and learn new things. I have done some workaways before and got to meet there close friends and people who inspire me.
I strive for a life full of freedom and happiness and full of connection (like we all do, right?). For me this takes form in getting out of my known surrounding, try new things, see the world, move my body, spend time in nature and I am curious about more ways to live healthy happily.
Most people describe me as friendly, empathic and grounded. I am a calm person who thrives in community but also likes some time to be by myself.
I was lucky to grow up in the mountains. Here I fell in love with nature and all kinds of outdoor activities like hiking, biking, skiing or snowboarding. I like creative things like painting, singing, crafts, taking and editing pictures. Lets share our passions.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Teach
I studied teacher education in University and have experience teaching Mathematics and Geography and Sustainable developement in different settings related to public education in German and English. I have a big passion for teaching and making a good education possible for especially children. Anyways nowadays I believe there are better ways for children to learn and develope their talents besides the public school system. I was teaching English voluntarly in Vietnam in 2019 and loved connecting to the students. In 2022 I combined my love for teaching, nature and sports and became a ski instructor in the Austrian Alps.

Cook
I love cooking and providing a beautiful, healthy meal for the community and friends. You can expect healthy, vegetarian/vegan food made with love.

Physical Work
In previous workaways I was working on the land, shoveling, building, ... I like physical work because I like to use my body strength and I am not afraid to get dirty. Anyways I think physical work is also alot about listening to your bodys limits and dont overwork yourself and asking for help when needed.

Gardening
I have a little experience with gardening because my mother has a greenhouse and I could sometimes help there. In some workaways I was watering plants and gardens.

Hospitality
I was working and volunteering in several guesthouses. I like making people feel welcome and keeping the place nice and clean. I like working in guesthouses because I think you can meet there a lot of interesting people.

Creative Work
When I was I child I wanted to become an artist and I think in some way I am. I do bodypainting and facepainting for events like festivals or childrens birthday parties. Usually I travel with my palette. I am discovering new ways of creating all the time: painting, crochet, clay, writing, photography, makramee, ... I made decoration and paintings for guesthouses. I would be happy if I can get creative at your place.

Childcare
Children have a big place in my heart. I allways meet them on eyelevel and became friends with many children. I was working with several families who homeschool their children or raise them in a free enviroment. I would like to support children to grow up in a way where they can be fully themselves and evolve as the geniuses they allready are.

Healing
Harmony and authenticity are vitally important in my life. Meditation and different healing techniques help me a lot with that. In that field I like the explore different approaches but at the moment I am most passionate about free expression in dancing and singing. In the end I think every (inter)action coming from a loving space is healing.
I also worked as a sauna master, using heat and essential oils for a relaxing experience. I am trained as a soundhealer and love to share this passion as well.


My working moral is a quote from Pippi Langstrumpf: I have never tried that before, so I think I should definitely able to do that
