Hi there!
My name is Marta, and after being in Slovenia 4 times and dreamming about moving there for a while, the time has finally come. :)
I'm originally from Portugal, but I lived in The Netherlands for 4 years and in 2023 I spent some time in Austria and Slovenia through Workaway.
I am now looking for experiences where I can have contact with animals and nature, as well as meet new people and share stories.
I'm introverted and love animals, music, languages, chess, soaps, good talks, and anything sustainable.
I'm also a hiker and "wannabe" mountaineer. Last year I climbed Triglav, and this year I'll hopefully atempt Mangart. :)
Overall, I want to have meaningful experiences and live off-grid for a while, as I explore my inner self without all of the superficialities that come with the city life.
I also want to take some time while volunteering to get settled in Slovenia and start looking for a job.

I have worked as a musician, barista, bartender, translator, and most recently in IT support. I also gave Portuguese lessons to friends.
I'm also good with renovation projects and I'm not affraid of getting my hands dirty.

The accommodation was very comfortable and warm with a beautiful view to the mountains. I was also lucky to see a lot of snow and they gave me a proper jacket, boots and gloves to make sure that I wouldn't be cold during my time… read more
