Hello! My name is Marie (nickname: Mariska) and I'm 24 years old. I live in Delft, a city in the west of the Netherlands, and I study Life Science & Technology here. In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, play volleyball, play piano, and work out.
What brings me to join Workaway, is that I want to master the Czech language. My mother is from the Czech Republic, and my brother and I are currently taking lessons to take our Czech speaking to the next level. However, I think that spending some time in the Czech Republic would help improve my Czech even more. Besides, I love traveling and meeting new people, so I'm excited for this adventure!

My goal is to improve my Czech speaking skills. My mother was born in the Czech Republic, so I grew up learning a little bit of Czech. Currently, I follow Czech lessons, and the next step is going to the Czech Republic to boost my Czech speaking. On the other hand, I speak Dutch and English fluently. Thus, if you are interested in learning either Dutch or English, I'm able to teach you that, while you can teach me Czech and we can have a language skills exchange!

Quais são suas habilidades?
As a side job, I'm teaching kids in primary school about design, which I love, since working with children is something I enjoy. Besides, I work in a restaurant as a waiter and in the past, I've worked in a sandwich shop. I like to take my work seriously and therefore will always be the best that I can be. Also, cooking is something I enjoy.
I speak Dutch and English fluently. I speak quite some Czech: I can communicate and navigate through the Czech Republic with little to no problem. However, I want to improve my Czech, which is why I want to go to the Czech Republic using Workaway!

She is polite, responsible and easygoing. She helped us alot, especially with our children, who loved her and were comfortable to be with her without any problems.
