Hi! My name is Marie, I am 25 years old, and just about to finish my Master`s degree in Social Sciences. I currently live in Germany. I am deeply interested in sustainability and self-sufficiency, as well as treating the nature that provides us with resources with respect. Being AVAP, I care especially about the wellbeing of animals. I really want to explore the sides of life I was yet not able to experience and strengthen my understanding of farming, nature and self-responsibility. For soft skills: I am a teamworker, communicative, fast learning, responsible and creative. My English is good, and using it will be the best way to improve it :) I also speak a little bit of French and Italian.
I always wanted to travel and explore new countries. I think the way of living most people view as normal is not necessarily the wisest, and I want to gain knowledge about alternative ways of leading a fulfilled life. I want to learn new limits about myself, but also new capabilities and talents. With a working class family, I wasn´t able to travel and make experiences as much as I´d like to, and the time in my life of studying and working has not lead me to a deep sense of value. So, a bit cliche, I am partly here for self-discovery, but also to leave the desk and Laptop behind me and find out what lies beyond that. I can work hard, I am sportive, I am willing to get my hands dirty, I have deep respect for plants and animals and though I am not the most extraverted person, I am open, friendly and always willing to adjust to new conditions. Quais são suas habilidades?

Living with animals my whole life, I have got expericence with taking care of them and know how to handle them if they are a bit difficult - my dog is not necessarily the nicest - and my family took in rescue dogs to help the shelters. I did a lot of horseback riding when I was younger, so I have experience with horses as well.
Like I already mentioned, I am a fast learner, I have got an academic degree (though I am not quite sure how I can put that to use to be honest), I can work hard, I am flexible, communicative and open-minded. I like to be outside as much as possible, but I also need my private space from time to time.
For my working experience, I worked in retail trade for a while, for example in a photography studio where I also learned to deal with more difficult personalities and accomodate my needs to external requirements.
During my studies, I mainly learned to hold on, to keep going even when it is really hard, so I am ambitious and I can "roll up my sleeves"!

I love to go hiking, running and swimming, as well as cooking delicious vegetarian and vegan meals. Also, I quite enjoy an evening of dancing and partying, but only once in while. I love music and movies; some time ago, I learned playing guitar and was quite good at it, but recently the time has been too short to do it. So, talking about and discussing those topics makes me really happy!: )
