Hello everyone!
I'm Margaux, a young French girl.

I joined the Workaway adventure and I hope to find a happy place to live and share a new adventure with you and discover the beauty of a new country that I don't know yet.

I'm a cheerful and kind person, sensitive to the world.
I love to be connected with mother nature, to walk and to hike. I live near the Alps (a big mountain range in France, maybe you know it?).

For me, the real and authentic life is to live fully every moment, a simple life but with the essentials : movement, joy, sharing, love, creating, laughing.

I also love animals, I have a deep respect for every living being. Most of the time I'm the pet-sitter for the animals of my family, friends or neighbours. I know how to take care of cats, dogs and even birds (especially perruches calopsittes). Every week I do long walks with Orka, my brother's Labrador, she's very sweet and an angel).
Speaking of animals, I'm more of a vegetarian, I eat meat or fish from time to time but only occasionally.

I'm a listener with wise advice most of the time, always encouraging us to follow our hearts because it's the best guide, the best compass to have no regrets.

I like to challenge myself, to discover new habits, to work differently. I'm a curious person, I've had a lot of different jobs: cook in a café, sales assistant, digital marketing product manager for a publishing house, setting up a company in e-commerce, working in a gym, and many more...

Sport is also very important for my physical and mental health, fitness, yoga, running, hiking. I'm a qualified yoga teacher, I ran the Rome half-marathon last year, I'm self-taught and I give great advice on fitness.

On the other hand, I'm a sweet and calm person who likes to spend time alone writing, reading a good book, making candles or doing a jigsaw puzzle.

I'd like to fulfil new dreams, including learning to play the piano and improving my English.

I'm a very good writer in French, I always found the right words. Unfortunately, in English, as you can see, I haven't yet. So if you always read me, thank you very much, you are probably a patient person. You must know that it's not easy for me to speak fluent English, I make mistakes and my vocabulary is not rich. But last year I took English classes with native English teachers, so with practice I think it will get easier. At least you will be able to laugh at my mistakes. And I could teach you French if you like.

To be able to communicate with anyone would be a dream of mine. So I would very much like to be able to speak better English and have more vocabulary. Last year I took English classes and I did the TOEIC exam, I got the B1 level but I know it's not enough. If I don't practise regularly, I forget everything I've learnt. That's why I've wanted to go abroad for many years, and this year it's finally going to happen! As for the French language, I have always had a great interest in reading and writing, so it will be a pleasure for me to teach my mother tongue.

I'm very helpful, I know how to take care of pets, as I said before I'm the official petsitter of my entourage.
I'm also very kind and patient with children.
I know how to look after a house, tidy up, clean, cook because I'm organised.
I am qualified to give sports and yoga lessons (in French but I could learn to teach in English).
I'm very good in French, to write and I can help to use computer tools.
I love learning new things, spending time outdoors.
I'm an intellectual as well as a manual worker.
